'The (Aka Coronation Day) Is my fave horror game/mod, there's just so much mistery behind it!
The story is very ambigous and there's multple interpretations. But basically Peach has become this monster named "The Forest God" who haunts mario and, by consequence, the player, forcing him to repeat the same cicle over and over again.
