First things first, to compensate for my falling short in terms of scheduling, I'm going to do mini-sodes a bit more regularly. The first will be a sort of King Kong addendum - that'll be up later today. Those will be paid posts.

For the $10+ group, to clarify some things - if I release more than one paid post in a month, but you cap your payment at $10/month, yes your name will still appear at the end of every video. So don't worry about capping payments! Also, did you know you can do that? Capping payments is a thing you can do.

Secondly, if you want me to list your name a certain way in the credits, or if I spell your name wrong, please send me a message. There are only humans at the other end of this. Well, human. One human. Me.

Now that said, I know that some were disappointed that Frankenstein didn't win for Halloween (there's always next year!), and I am just as shocked as you are. That said, since I have so many years of Phantom-related notes already (on the line of 10,000 words, and yes, most of those words are about how awful "Love Never Dies" is)  that'll be a two-parter. A very long two-parter. It could easily fall into the Dan Carlin's Hardcore History realm of long and in-depth but I will try to show some restraint in the interest of actually finishing it this year. First part will be pre-Andrew Lloyd Webber Phantoms, second part will be post-ALW. And... both parts will probably be pretty long. Brace yourselves.

The vote for November's episode will be at the end of Phantom part 1 (yep, it's "fictionalized versions of historical figures" - I'll be really disappointed if Hitler doesn't win). I'll announce the winner/subject at the end of Phantom part 2, which will be up at the beginning of November.

Finally, I was planning on doing a Star Wars-related mini-sode for December for Episode VII as I am owned by Disney (yay vertical integration!) on Anakin Skywalker, then I realized, hey, I should probably put it to a vote. What Star Wars character would you like to see a mini-sode on? Or would you rather it be, like, a concept and do an episode on "The Force" or something? Put your suggestion in the comments! I am terrified of this because of the wacky extended universe but oh well it all got retconned out of canon so ha!

Anakin works for me.

I'd vote Anakin or C3PO/R2D2 (as the two really come as a pair). The robots of Star Wars fascinated me in their arks as they were two of the three characters that appeared in all 6 of the movies, and I'm going to go out on a limb and say extended universe is out because, my god, there is no tracking all of the incarnations of star wars characters through the extended universe.

The sith, the empire, the rebels, the jedi as concepts would be enjoyable.

If it's a Star Wars mini-sode, does that mean it's mainly sticking to the films and maybe the Clones Wars/Rebels, and not branching into the depths of the EU (old or current)?

The jedi is a great idea! Especially because the original trilogy and the prequels have some inconsistencies in how their viewed.

"The Jedi" is a really interesting concept, but what can I say? I'm always a sucker for Han Solo.

I'm pretty much a sucker for any jedi stuff, and both ideas sound good to me. I think maybe I like character focused things better.

It won't be terribly in depth or else I couldn't get a full episode out in December, but I'll do what I can. I may have to hire an expert.

Obi Wan would be more interesting than 'Ani', in my opinion. But as you say maybe people would like something different than a character, like a particular race (ewoks ^_^), or a faction (I see others mentioned the jedi).

The only reason I saw Episode One: Queen Amidala's wardrobe.

I would like to see your take on the jedi. mainly because i think their way of life and how often it contradicts basic human emotions, feelings and needs is quite an interesting thing to look at!

There are really only two women in the Star Wars movie universe that are major characters, and they are mother and daughter. Might be interesting to discuss Lea and Amidala, and or women in Star Wars in general.

Boba Fett would be a good platform to talk about the whole process of expanded universing. He's such a minor (if memorable) character in the movies and such a huge deal in fandom. Plus there's his first appearance was in the holiday special, his anticlimactic death and the prequels doing their thing with him.

There are lots of interesting ones to do. Han is such a curious case, because he is so central to the dynamic in the first three films (not Hero, Damsel, or Mentor) and he (or at least his character) is really missing from the original. The droids are curious between the versions - and the shift from view point (stolen from a better story-teller) to comic relief. I find the monsters interesting, because they speak to the fantasy origins of the story, so the unseen garbage chute creature, the space-ship eating asteroid worm, at least two in the third film, the terrible gladitorial arena scene in the second prequel.

I think The Force would be a really good idea, because it seems to have been approached in many different ways, even (especially) in the main film series. I think it would be interesting to go through varying interpretations of it and then see how the new movie handles it.

I'd much prefer any episode you put out to be longer; I know it's immensely selfish, due to your other commitments and the sheer amount of time and effort that goes into making these, but I'm more than happy to take them when they happen :)

I'm all about the Clone Wars animated series (both Dave Filoni and Gendy Tartarkovsky). I'd actually be really interested to see General Grievous have a Loose Canon as his portrayal is so drastically different from the 3 parts of the Star Wars canon he has shown up in. Edit: Saw your comment on about the crunch on viewing the entirety of Clone Wars, I'm totally happy to act as a reference because I know the series inside and out and kept tabs on its behind-the-scenes production.

I'm voting for Leia

I want to know about Marcia Lucas. She was hugely influential on the first films and she was a brilliant film editor, then she apparently disappeared off the face of the earth. . . and nobody talks about it.

Please tell me Robespierre is on that list of fictionalized versions of historical figures.
