So they just dropped half of the 2nd (3rd?) round challenges on YT and the 2 they dropped already seem much more engaging vs the pre-release stages and solo ones. Some of the solo ones would be cool from an arrangement perspective (for example, how Weeekly Jihan re-did Nayeon's Pop was interesting) but the solo stages are SO SHORT (like 1 minute and a half to 2 minutes-I mean they had to squeeze in 28 different performances in 2 episodes vs 4-8 performances). Maybe it'd be better to wait a little?

So far the most compelling thing to react to is, I think, the 7 v 7 battle round that just aired yesterday (but the performance videos have been on youtube for a few weeks). two teams of 7 girls -- four teams total -- (a "picked" group and a "dropped" group, oof) face off with two original songs: SNAP and CHARISMATIC. really interesting to see the differences, especially with the SNAP group. SNAP's "picked" team was chosen by the highest scoring contestant from Episode 1, Bora, and she chose *all the rappers* for her group -- SNAP was a rap-focused song -- leaving the "dropped" group to have to scramble to figure out how to do the song without any trained rapper idols on their team. (Interestingly as well, Bora is one of the 3 main vocalists in the competition and she relegated both her main vocal competitors to the "dropped" group, which REALLY led to the groups approaching the songs very differently). Would be interesting to see which teams ("dropped" or "picked") won both the CHARISMATIC & SNAP battles in your eyes!

the "picked" team: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjyF5789Kxc & the "dropped" team: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Timpnus81h0 (.......which I prefer by a mile)

Pick-Cat’s “Snap” is like a personal supergroup for me—Bora and Chaerin (Cherry Bullet), Yeeun (CLC), Riina (H1-Key), and Yuki (Purple Kiss)—along with writing by Cazzi Opeia!
