WONPIL 'Pilmography' Album First Listen: Walk with me, Stranded, Someday spring will come, Pieces

This whole album is a masterpiece that I keep listening to on repeat. It's like an excellent journey that I don't mind taking over and over again. "Stranded" reminded me very much of Day6 (Even of Day)'s album Book of us: Gluon - Nothing Can Tear Us Apart. It has that simultaneous intergalactic oceanic feel to it... What do you think? I'm looking forward to Part 3!!

first of all: the editing!! *cries laughing* A+ 10/10 first class honours &c &c secondly: when you were like 'the snow is melting' i just cried in canadian. c) "Walk with me"'s cicada shirring sounds made me wonder if they reused the sample from ... er ... I Loved You. (i mean, like. they went to all that trouble to record it ... why not). but ALSO the vibe just reminded me of ... John Denver. maybe baselessly? I haven't listened to him in so long. I agree with you guys - the instrumentation is just so NICE and PLEASANT. they apparently hired a 16 piece string ensemble for the title song (Wonpil talked about it in a fansign or bubble, I can't remember where I saw it) so who knows re: real strings in the other songs? they sound real to me and it's just ... nice to hear real strings lol. Re: Stranded: I do think the chorus swings too, same as Henry! I think it's the drums? anyway my body moves to it like it swings. also it sounded to me a bit like a Disney song, like one of those protagonist numbers where they've come through adversity and are like ... celebrating a new outlook on life. Re: Someday spring will come: the composer is Yun Seok Cheol, the jazz pianist and composer on whose album Wonpil featured! I just think it's neat. plus the lyrics ... so many of the songs that Wonpil wrote/co-wrote lyrics for are so ... sad!! Not Mine! Like the Flowing Wind! T___T Anyway, this was a lovely half an hour of distraction from the world's awfulness. Thank you so much.
