According to Changbin, he intentionally rushed so it didn't sound like he wasn't rapping live. He said this on Chan's Room episode 100.

Huh. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but i’d rather a performance sound accurate and people think it’s pre-recorded rather than mess up intentionally and ruin the energy/flow of that part. It kinda brought down the experience of the whole performance for me >.<

Knowing the challenge was to introduce themselves in 100 seconds, I felt like they executed it well. I mean I do agree, there were details that made the performance a bit messy, like Changbin rapping faster than the backtrack as you guys mentioned^^^. Also during the rap exchange between Han and Felix, we couldn’t hear Felix & just Hyunjin’s backtrack carrying Felix’s part bc his mic broke in the middle of the performance. But overall as a performance I love how they utilized the entire stage including the bleachers. Using the wolf concept from their Easy mv made an emphasis on how close they are as a team, as a pack. At the beginning when Felix’s lyrics say “Across the mountain, across the mountain” he jumps over Chan and Seungmin (as mountains) and then “Across the river, across the river” and jumps over Han = Han river. So I thought that was clever. Using karambits (knives) as “claws” was also impressive, bc the entire time we’re watching them running around the stage scratching the floor and the overall purpose of them running around was marking/branding their name/logo onto the stage. The necklace Changbin wore paralleled the necklace that Minho wore in their Easy mv and right as Chan broke it we see the number 8 on the back screen when the “liquid” spills on the floor to turn the stage green. It also highlighted each member well in my opinion. The acrobatics and flame thrower thing was obv to “wow” the audience, but knowing how much thought and detail they added into this performance to just “introduce” themselves as Stray Kids, is what made me appreciate their stage the most.

Just to clarify on Lilea's comment, Changbin only said that it was intentional that he rapped faster AS A JOKE. It was more like: "It was so that you could tell I'm not lip-syncing... definitely not because I'm nervous or anything!" He himself couldn't bear to listen to his off-beat rapping so he even made sure to rap over the track while they were watching the performance on the vlive.

For reference, here's the timestamp of Changbin making excuses for + reacting to the performance, he sounds so triggered lol 😂: https://youtu.be/tLudBbc7ipE?t=1247 Anyway, rest assured because SKZ probably won't do this intentionally to prove their point even in the future. It must be stressful but hopefully they can loose up enough by their next performance to relax and have fun on stage so that they can show their full potential!

the only thing I didn’t like about the performance was that I wish the knives were more realistic, like they reflected the light. However, changbin explain in his solo live that they had to practiced with scissors taped shut and they didn’t get the props till day of the performance and originally it was all black and they had to spray paint the gray part. Changbin also explain that when they were learning the choreography, chan brought his laptop in to add in the sound effects of the knives exactly where they needed it in the choreo. Also the dance moves with the knives on the floor actually craves out the SKZ logo that we see at the end. stray kids are always so impressive with their little details, I’m scared it’s going to cost them since not everyone can pick those up first watch or even watching it a couple times.
