I’m basing my tonal center off of the bass drone in the 2nd verse and note the song ends on, which is an E. Bc of the chords and notes played, the whole song is in minor (the melodies often highlight b3) and the b2 in the riff implies phrygian as well, but it may just be playin with chromaticism since there’s a b5 in it as well. The prechorus hits a natural 6, but that’s a note that appears in both major and minor scales, so it isnt necessarily a shift into major. The time in which the song uses a note that doesn’t belong in a minor mode is the post chorus- it has a raised 3 instead of b3, which we call modal mixture and not a key change since it’s a singular borrowed note/chord from the parallel key. 👍 hope my explanation makes sense!

It does makes sense, thank you. I just played around with the base note you mention in my guitar and totally makes sense. Sounds really phrygian that base plus the melody in guitar Amazing how the mediant can change so drastically the sound of a song. Thanks again
