Really appreciate this reaction, it's always good to have a more objective opinion on albums. I had a feeling when I first listened to this album that you might have this kind of reaction, I hope people won't give you any flack for it. I've been thinking about your comments about predictability though... in Korea the pop ballad genre is still very popular and I know people who'd happily listen to lots of songs like the songs in this album. I think people who aren't trained musically might not necessarily pick up on predictability in this kind of music, but it is the kind of music that is logical and safe, so even if it's predictable to more musically trained people there are people who would still love these kinds of ballads because they're nice to listen to and they can be belted out during karaoke haha. I guess what's great about being a fan of SHINee is that all the members have different musical tastes/styles which are reflected in their solos, so they cover a lot of genres and cater to a wide range of music tastes. Also fun fact: the composers of some songs (Rocoberry) have actually composed quite a few really popular Korean OSTs in the past and they're also Onew's close friends
