Hi!

Last Sunday we made this together in a 10 hour livestream... planned where like 2-3 :x

About the Scene,

the idea was, that when you travel around you could find a camp in the wild.
If you then decide to sleep in that tent, you will get a scary visit at night!

There are also some things i learned from that, for example i unified the event skeletons into one, this means those animation blueprints can share the code base,

Its mostly event notifies and interface calls, but they stack up and coding it new for every additional event can get annoying >_<

also what i tried there that was new for me, was switching active partners, so the Male in this scene for example, copy's its movement from one of the Felines animation.

But how to know when it should switch from one to another, you see a Character has a Active and Inactive state inside the Animation Event, when it is active it will interact (cuddle) with you and your movement will work, but what if two are active at the same time like in this gif?

Found a way to use cached poses with a pretty simple math node, basically when both are active at the same time, it will take the average movement of both poses.

Its not perfect in a sense that it can cause clipping, but it fixes itself after half a second, i bet with some more training i can get rid this "bug".

Overall it was again much fun working with you♥ and a special thanks for everyone who checked in!

In the stream i also had the goal of making the introduction animation where the Kitties destroy your Tent, when simulating it i forgot to set up the seam groups so the cloth did not got cut from their claws :c

But i still want to do that, so maybe we just do the simulation and intro part in next stream if you would like to see fabric being cut by sharp lion claws!

Oh my gawsh this makes my heart flutter. It's so compelling and wholesome! I love and adore these kinds of scenes. Oh and I noticed the saliva effects too, those were pretty. I thank you, and whoever voted on this scene, hehe. Also I very much enjoyed the sound effects, and I feel they had a nice balance that was pleasant ambiance and not distracting.
