Nariok Brutes are bred Nariok fighting machines that were thought to be extinct since the time of the Turbine Wars.

Their strength and superiority underwater makes them one of the deadliest opponents in the aquatic realm, but after the war, the Nariokian empire promised to stop further research on them.

Despite being categorised as feral and dangerous, Nariok Brutes possess a relatively high level of intelligence, which can be quickly lost if they notice the sound of pumping blood or the smell of it.

Instead of a male and female sexes, Brutes are always herms, which also was part of their design to spread quickly, using their highly infectious brood to take over enemy positions.

Their reproductive organs are highly adaptable - a single pair of Nariok Brutes can pose a threat to an entire coastline. The eggs produced after a short incubation do not contain embryos, but concentrated mutagen and burst open at the slightest touch - the aggressive mucus they contain then turns any lower-class creature into a Brute as well.

Nariok brutes usually form packs, which attack special positions together and strategically to

„recruit“ more brutes. The transformed victims are overwhelmed by primitive instincts and join the group, which often consists of a single Alpha.

Unlike other feral species, Nariok Brutes still have the ability to speak, their affinity to dominance and violence makes them incompatible with most kinds of societies tho.

Just like Tizzians are vulnerable to the cold, Nariok Brutes can‘t stand constantly dry places: While they are dangerous and deadly under water, they get slower on land, since their heavy, nano-armored skin dries out quickly and becomes as heavy as a plate-mail made of steel after several hours.

For that reason, they usually stay close to the coast or at least some kind of water-source
