might delete this but wanted to try discussing this with you all!

i've asked before, but what are some suggestions that you guys think i should change/add/do better/not do to increase the satisfaction of your patronage. what do you think more people would like if i did? etc.

living off patronage/subscriptions like twitch/patreon etc. can be super rocky, inconsistent and i'm just trying to see what variables i have control over that could help stabilize that a bit so i can try to come up with a solution to this possible live change cause it's kind of difficult to make a decision without it!

tbh i’m sure there will be comments with good advice i just wanted to say thank you for sharing, it’s nice that you’re comfortable enough with us to share big things like this - even if you’re just entertaining the thought. regarding tiers, personally i’m fine with my tier, i always enjoy whatever you put out regardless, esp since it feels like i’m just hanging with a friend! as such, i don’t really have any expectations on what/when/how much to post.. i’m sure this is NAWT the comment you wanted or needed to hear so sorry about that 😅 just know i’m rooting for you! (ALSO anyone with actual advice pls help skkdkskkss ty)

Kara

Comparing you to my other patreon subscriptions i don’t think you’re that consistent. U react to shows and then drop it or take awhile to finish. I think reacting to more kdramas or movies would be nice

chelsey

just wanna say... the reason you're my favorite reactor is bc you always seem very genuine. a lot of bigger reactors come off, to me, like they don't care at all & just need to get a video out. you're one of the only reactors that, even if i don't really care about/haven't seen whatever you're reacting to, i watch all of your videos. bc yeah i'm here for reaction content, but you also just feel like a friend lol 🙃 as for advice, i have no clue what it's like to be a reactor & all the work it takes... but overall, the best thing is consistency. i'm rooting for you to reach the level you want, you deserve it!!!

imani

you without a doubt have the potential to become one of the top reactors, tbh I’ve always been surprised that you’re not more well known among K-pop reactors bc you’ve been my favorite channel for years now. but yeah if you decide to move I say go for it! it would be cool to see some more collabs w other reactors or even vlogs (like travel or concert ones when u have the chance). for Patreon, it’d be nice to see more variety/idol show content & I think my fav Patreon content is watching u react to kdramas! I also really like the “Who is” videos that you’re starting on youtube

Anonymous

I absolutely love your channel and I definitely think you have the potential to big one of the top channels!! You are genuinely so authentic and the take you have on fashion and the knowledge is always so interesting to hear about! I think that with how young you are it’s always great to get out of your comfort zone and move! Do a test run and see if doing a 2-3 month airbnb rental or short lease is feasible for you to stay out there. I personally think if you could incorporate more fashion into your videos it’s a really great niche in the kpop community that you could definitely grow!!

johnnyxtsunami

I absolutely agree with everyone here, you absolutely could have the potential for more, i know if I was in your field I would be wanting to move or reach out to more but I love how genuine you are and how much it feels like listening to a friend, one of the first patrons I’ve joined for and have stayed for so long, but I do agree with others that it mostly is consistency, I don’t think any of us want you to burn out grinding content but if you could stick to a show, a survival, a variety and continue it in a basis I think it would attract more viewers combined with YouTube and twitch, also I like your insight into fashion maybe you can do more of that in your future

Mai San

100% agree with the consistency comments. To be completely honest with you, I almost cancelled my subscription a few times because I felt like all of the things that interested me where dropped mid way or after just 1 ep or just didn’t get voted for or not picked. And content that didn’t interested me at all keep coming up and I felt like it was a waste of my money to spend for content that I don’t enjoy and to see that the ones that I like with like months and months between them, not knowing if it’s going to be back. But I stayed because I really enjoy your personality, your knowledge on fashion and how genuine you are. I’m not saying you’re not posting enough in quantity at all but I feel like you need a schedule with more consistency and diversity maybe. Also when doing polls or asking for a new show, artist, movie etc, I fell like you don’t need to pick the most popular but the ones that YOU might enjoy the most. Or if you begin something that you don’t enjoy, which is perfectly ok, let us know if you don’t feel like continuing. At least they’ll be no waiting wondering when’s the next one is gonna drop :) I’d rather watch something that you really enjoy :)

anthonytoo

I appreciate the comment but some insight on posting on the other subscriptions you've mentioned could be helpful. I mainly watch kdramas and based on those who reached out via dm suggest me to do more idol content to even out with the dramas.

anthonytoo

What are those things that interested you/got dropped? I think that going with the polls is the best way to handle the majority. Anytime that I have watched something that I just wanted to watch, it wasn't really engaged with as much and could have upset others the way that you feel where they wanted to leave because I wasn't watching what they wanted to. If it were up to me, this would be flooded with Twice/Treasure videos, there would likely be no video missed, but that's not what everyone wants.

Kara

The other patreons I’m subscribed to react to the most recent kdramas and get at least over a hundred likes on them. I wouldn’t suggest more kpop stuff for you just because it seems it does better on your YouTube. Stuff like reality shows and kdramas is good for patreon in my opinion

imani

this isn’t my comment but I do agree with some of the stuff mentioned here, esp with dropping content. I do leave patreon for some months depending on the content being put out and pop back in when there’s stuff that interests me bc you’re only one person and I don’t expect you to check out everything, but it’d be nice if you gave a heads up on content that you’re dropping (but it’s also possible that I miss any updates since I do come & go). one example is with &audtion - the howling, i was kinda sad you dropped it bc it seemed like you were enjoying the show & I wanted to see ur thoughts on the final lineup + debut

anthonytoo

Sometimes shows end up falling out of my rotation because of me watching multiple things at once, which is why I used to want to watch one thing at a time and post it 2-3 times a week but the majority of patrons were against that. I was enjoying &Audition and I still talk to some viewers about it too (which is why I have not watched their music videos yet). I will begin notifying when I drop shows and why on update posts though.

anthonytoo

Appreciate you and thanks for doubling back and dm'ing me suggestions. Means a lot to me

anthonytoo

Thanks for the quick response, I didn't get the notification but I do appreciate the back and forth. I find it a bit interesting because there was a shift a handful of months ago where people were asking for more kpop stuff, but it does seem that overall, dramas and whatnot are being engaged with more (from what I can tell). If you don't mind, could you share the creators names that you watch so I can check out their page to see their posting frequency and such to compare/take notes.

anthonytoo

Also, I've never gotten that many likes on the posts, so that could be from more patronage but shows like Vincenzo, The Glory, Boys Planet, 50-60 likes and some comments really show interest and that's why those shows will be pushed. I think doing the most recent dramas and survivals tell me to treat the page more like YouTube in the sense where I have to be watching the latest/hypest things in order for more people to be pleased and engage with the posts. That's fine in all, but sometimes going back and checking out sleeper shows or older goodies is something I like to do too so I'll have to try to incorporate that every now and then somehow. But yeah, If you can share those other pages you support, I'd love to continue adding to my notes for reference so I can begin to put these things into action.

Kara

For sure! I’m subscribed to core4vt and fosquad and then on twitch jregaming :)

anthonytoo

I appreciate you greatly Chelsey! I'm glad you get that vibe as that's all I've wanted. You watching regardless of the artist we check out means the world to me fr! It takes a lot of work, and for those who post more than me on their Patreon and Youtube combined, even more work for them - but they get it done. I'm terrified of burnout from just consumption alone, so I really try to pace myself and talking to other creators shows we all face that but everyone has different ways to deal with it, I just don't. I'm super passionate about making videos and it's what I do for fun, what I do to destress and when I'm not doing it I feel weird. It just becomes hard to balance when I'm stressed about not doing enough, but what I do is how I destress -- what then? lol. I'll reach it, for sure, I've just gotta keep the people who support like you in mind.

anthonytoo

Thank you! I'm locked in with every one of the reactors but I'm just not growing yet. I see some things I am working on to fix that and hopefully things change. I appreciate your support, I've told you before. I've talked to a handful of other reactors about doing collabs and they all have ended up with great ideas but it only matters when they're executed, so that's why I feel like it'd be important to go out there. Concert vlogs would be tough, I just need a friend with me fr.

anthonytoo

I LOVED filming the "Who Is" video for GG. I think that is going to give me a new spark with doing the videos so I'll very likely continue, I'm glad people were receiving that well.

anthonytoo

Gotta do something more in regards to fashion and kpop for sure. Thank you for the kind words. I was able to speak to my grandma which I wasn't sure how it would go but she supported as well and suggested the same thing. I think I'll drag PM out there with me sometime in the future and test the waters.

anthonytoo

Always looking out for your comments! I think my thing had been every time people mentioned consistency, I related it to frequency. I feel like I generally post 15-20 videos a month on average from stages/albums/dramas etc. I thought that was consistent, but what I'm needing to understand is the frequency is fine, but the consistency with what I am posting needs to be better? Consistently posting one show, not frequently posting everything but taking a while to finish all of it.

imani

always excited for what the future holds for you!!

johnnyxtsunami

Yeah I believe that’s the way you should go, the amount or frequency has been fine with me but the consistency about watching a show/drama/variety and continuing them on a daily/weekly basis before you move on or have a long term show that we know will be coming at some time would keep current viewers and new viewers alike staying and anything else in between at a pace you you like and picking one to two variety shows/ one to two dramas/ one to two idol shows to fit in the weeks/months would be good, like at the moment finish boys planet since you started it then go back to peak time and then back to &audtion or whatever you like and then let us know if any of the unfinished shows will be dropped, I wonder if picking certain days to do things would help you or like watching stuff together on twitch idk just spit ballin EDIT: just saw your update post but I’ll put this here anyways, but I totally agree with what you updated, I also hope you don’t push yourself too hard with trying to change and make content don’t burn out and remember to have fun

Mai San

Sorry for late answer ! But to answer your question with a couple of exemple : - SMTM 10 finale ep 10 ? I think it was a fever dream or just never there ? It’s a shame we couldn’t finish this season with you. - Ikon School trip was added years ago to be stopped at ep 4 even tho ep 5 and 6 where on your schedule of February of this year. -&audition dropped (and many more, that just didn’t interested me so that fine for me I guess) - Winner youth over flower began last year in august with 55 likes ! And dragged with only ep 3 a few days ago (with like 10 likes).. (even tho again scheduled for February). An exemple of no consistency for me I think (which again, is fine but i'll appreciate a notice for exemple idk ;) - New journey to the West. After watching a little of season 2.5. You made a poll to decide on which season to watch. I was fine with both and happy to have new content but again we unfortunately never got it. I don’t have any other exemple on the top of my head but believe me there’s more. I don’t mean to sound rude or disrespectful in any way but I just wanted to be 100% honest. I’ve been a Patreon here for yeaaaars in this tier, one of the quiet one haha, and obviously I’ve been there for this long because I enjoy watching your content and supported you and will continue to do so because I find it comforting in there. ( i also subscribed for khip hop and Krnb content but I guess we’re not a lot in here sooooo….) Also I miss your live (I always watched the vod) when you explored different artists and made marathon reactions. Always fun to discover less known artist for exemple. So as I was saying being there for a long time, I feel like I’m not satisfied with the lack of consistency in organisation and schedule. Because waiting 4 months for one ep of a specific show with no reason on why and paying 15$ every month for me was not profitable for exemple. I see that you changed the tiers so that’s already great news. I’ll stay in there because I reaaaally enjoy your personality, and interest in fashion also since I’m into it too, but if I’m not satisfied I’m just gonna cancel my subscription at this point and come back some day for a month if anything interest me 🙃 Sorry if I made mistake or if I sound rude again, that’s not my intention at all, and I’m not a native speaker 🥲

Mai San

Also for exemple of other creator, i'm suscribed to both FifiZappa and the Report Card. In my opinion both of their system work well with schedule in advance (marshmallows & music also even tho i'm not sucsribed anymore) and i'm more than satisfied with my tiers there
