Goblin and W are both so good, but the acting and writing for Goblin is NEXT LEVEL. In my opinion, at least. I'm so excited for you to be checking out more dramas, though.

Goblin probably had less ratings on Viki because it was recently added back onto the platform, but it's insanely popular. I still haven't finished Goblin, but whenever you get to it, I guess that's when I'll be finishing it haha

Goblin too basic in my opinion. I know it has its own twist but it has too many cliche history scenes. W is way more unique and I think it suits people who aren’t interested in the whole “old history” thing

god i forgot how good this show was, frankly i wish you finished W first then goblin. BTW there are subtle ways to realize when they are in comic world vs the real world, in the comic everything tend to be too convinient and perfect, the streets are clean , clothes is always flawless, theres never a strand of hair out of place, if they drive, theres barely any cars, but in the real world the rooms are messy, theres wrinkles on the clothes, the city doent looks so clean etc; thats one of the reasons i love this series, the attention to detail its just great. Also the dude isnt her brother, you can call noona to a friend, the same way you call hyung. thanks for the reaction i was soo bored you saved me T.T

I personally have not seen goblin but i I heard that a lot of people dropped it cause it was boring to them. I'm gonna watch either with you, but I have to say that I would prefer W because I do really love it, it's not very cliche K drama. But yeah maybe I'll enjoy goblin even more, who knows.i just think that you should choose what is more interesting to you because then the reaction will also be more interesting.

W is so good😭. I have watched it multiple times. I tried watching Goblin but I dropped it a few episodes in, wasn't my cup of tea...but if you do watch it, I will still watch with you...to see if I change my mind

idk if anyone clarified this but "noona" is just a term used by males to refer to a female older than them, but close in age, who they are close to, so it can be used by a younger brother, a younger male friend, or even a younger boyfriend

Noona doesn't solely mean sister as in siblings...it's just how a male calls an older female he's close with or dating.

I vote for W, Goblin isn't my taste. W focuses more on plot while Goblin focuses more on a comedic side as well as dialogues. since you already watched Strong Woman Do Bongsoon, I think it's nice to watch something more serious just for a change

Goblin is good with special effects and it looks epic (but W is the same in those aspects lol) but the story for me was really predictable and cliche. *shrug* It's also unnecessarily long and the romance is too...romantic LMAO. That being said, it's still a good drama but W is honestly one of the best ever! Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk lol.

Also, Lee Jung Suk, who plays Kang Chul is an extraordinary actor so do consider watching some of his other dramas and movies in the future. I Can Hear Your Voice is probably my personal favorite from him. And it has the scarriest, most realistic villain ever too! BTW, Lee Jung Suk even played a serial killer in the film VIP and it's bone chilling even though you might not think so looking at his cute face here lol

All you people talking about goblin saying it is cliche and bad are CRAZY! GOBLINS ACTING IS SUPERIOR. The cinematography is superior, the romance is superior. I love W but goblin is phenomenal. Also to the person above who compares strong woman do bong soon to goblin....the writing is nowhere like Strong woman do bong soon. It is not cheesy. It is about family, faith, love, sacrifice and so much more.

I mean both drama are good, but i still like Goblin every episode was good and I really like the cinematography and the comedy of the drama, great actors and actresses too. I still love W too, so either one is fine to me hopefully you can watch goblin soon too

Loved to see you so happy about the first episode, I hope you are feeling better now <3 I think it is a really good idea watching the first episode of both and see which one suites you better at the moment. Me personally like W a lot more, it just more of my cup of tea. I still have not been able to finish Goblin, I believe I have 2-4 episodes left but it is widely loved by a lot of people and I have to agree that it is well written. When you watch it I will probably join in towards the end so I finally will watch the end of it :)

In my opinion W is definitely the better drama and I personally think you'd enjoy it more. It has probably the most plot twists I've ever seen in a drama lol! But yeah Goblin is actually my least favorite drama idk I started watching it once but couldn't even bother to continue after the first episode (no offense to the ppl who like it) it's also bc the age gap between the characters just weirded me out but everyone to their liking :D

I love both but have watched W more and prefer it to Goblin and I feel it'll probably be more your cup of tea but Goblin is still good and has lots of funny moments but might be a bit slow paced for you. Good idea to watch an episode of both to see what grabs you more though 👍

ikr?? The fact that she calls him ajjushi is just...oof I mean, I managed to get over it for the cinematography and the other superior couple but it is really creepy, especially towards the end. I can't say what happens since it's a spoiler but it's just a huge no-no! The part I'm talking about is just as bad as the whole imprinting on a baby bull in Twilight lmao. Who knows, knows. Yikes!

I haven't watched past the first episode of Goblin yet so I say much for that but I have watched W twice now and it's incredible. It's quite fast paced and will take you an absolute rollercoaster. I'm sure you'll love it! :)

Ok tbh I think you’ll enjoy W more it seems like it’s more your style in a way, both dramas are amazing!!! But for me goblin is my favorite ever from the storyline to ever episode being like a movie. Trust me when I first started watching it it didn’t really grab my attention until I finally actually payed attention and I was hooked!! Get ready to cry just saying

W is pretty good, especially at the beginning. I remember reading a lot of comments from people complaining that the drama wasn't what they expected, but I did think it was original and intriguing. That said, I only watched it once. It was fun, but nothing more to me. Goblin has way more layers. People saying it's cliché baffle me; there's literally no kdrama that compares to Goblin. But yeah, you do have to pay more attention than with W, so maybe that's why some people found it boring or couldn't finish it. Because I have no idea how amazing writing, acting, photography, and soundtrack can seem boring to anyone unless they weren't paying attention.

I'm very interested to see you react to both of the first episodes because i think that they are both so interesting and original dramas but my vote goes to goblin because it really surpassed the bar for me in every episode when compared to W

I saw a loooot of kdrama's and W is truly one of the best ! Like you will NEVER guess the end and the story herself like when you think that you found out everything is different from what you think about 😭😭😭 I really hope that you will continue to watch W and watch goblin later because W is so an entertaining drama ! I'm sorry, I swear I'm not trying to make you upset by saying this since I know how it feels to be a huge fan of something and have people hate on it. That being said, just to be clear, not hating on Goblin...it's a good drama in its own right but what's there to pay attention to? I had the story all figured out from the first episode! It's so predictable! I sincerely applaud the production, the acting and the special effects (the bromance is super fun to watch too) but the storyline's predictability + the cliche YA supernatural romance are this otherwise good drama's biggest flaws. You may be attached to it...I loved it at first too don't get me wrong, but try to be objective here. Have you really never seen anything like Goblin? Because I recognized all the tropes immediately. It's really nothing "original."

Goblin is popular because of its cinematography, story, bromance, and ost. It is not problematic. It touches on so many amazing topics and puts you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The cast is just an added layer to why it is popular...

Goblin and W are my favorite Kdramas. I would say my favorite is Goblin, second is My Love from the Star, then W would come in third for me. W seems more your style but I hope you react to both! Goblin and W are both good.

Also W has more ratings because it's been on Viki for many years. Goblin was on the platform Drama Fever since 2016 but Drama Fever shut down in October 2018. Viki just added Goblin recently this year so that's why W has more ratings and a lot of people already saw Goblin years ago on the other platform.

W is till this day one of the coolest show I have ever watched! The leads are incredible, I love the actor and the story and illustration is incredible as well! Can't wait to watch it with you again.
