A common way for Korean people to eat ramyeon is to eat directly from the pot. Usually they take the noodles from the pot and then use the pot's lid as a sort of plate for the noodles. Taking the noodles out of the hot pot and putting it on the lid allows it to cool down and also makes it easier to blow on before slurping it all down. It's a pretty efficient way of eating noodles since there's less wait time for the pot to cool down and also involves less dishes which is always a plus. And that was my TedTalk on eating noodles. Koreans write horizontally from left to right as well but in the past, they did write vertically, mostly before the Korean alphabet was invented and they used Chinese characters. Since that journal of power thing has been passed from generation to generation it's also super old so it has the vertical lines, that's why she wrote it like that.

The ending of this ep is always so satisfying lmaooo. super power bong soon, tech savy, martial arts expert richie rich prez and justice driven uptight police officer gook doo. It's the dream team. Ok but not at how i was physically holding myself back from actually replying to everything you were confused about throughout the ep lmaoooo. Some of it were just korean drama things u're not used to and others just some quirks us asians have lol

Ok but I will still go ahead and say: we eat ramen directly from the pot VERY often, the "should I not go home tonight" was a sexual innuendo, the drone was on autopilot at the end, no those types of spoons and cutlery cannot be bent easily

Also did you notice how they tried to tie in ALL the side characters into the plan? like make them all useful in someway towards the main goal of the plot. Prez and Gook Doo are honestly funny and endearing together lol. and the fact that they both dote on and love each other so much IRL makes it even more funny and cute to watch them onscreen XD

The thing with the fake Indian monk is because they're kinda mocking how people are taken in and fooled by religious charlatans. It seems to be an issue there with cults and scammers who con people into giving them money even got a crime boss fooled 😂

Dropbox worked fine. Everything has worked for me so far tho 😊. It did buffer, so I just downloaded it and it was perfect.

Just some reminders or if you didn‘t know, info: Physical contact or ‚skinship‘ (PDA) as it‘s called in Korea, is extremely unusual between a Man and a woman that are not a couple in Korea. You‘ll rarely ever see friends that are not of the same gender hug in Korea. So that they hugged was kind of a ‚big deal‘ that‘s why he got so jealous. But jealousy overall is also a big thing, pretty often in Dramas you‘ll see the guys get crazy jealous over the littlest things. also, asking someone to eat Ramyeon together or go to their place are sexual innuendos. If you ask your boyfriend if you should come to their house or if you should not go home tonight basically means, they gon do it. And because sex is such a taboo topic often if you are a couple over there, does not mean you will do ‚it‘ sometimes couples will be together for years and not do it, even as adults, don‘t ask why, it‘s just the culture. So that‘s why you‘ll often see them overreact when it comes to that.

I can't watch it on Dropbox... The audio plays, but the image freezes. I tried downloading it, but it wouldn't let me open it. I even downloaded the Dropbox app, but it only gave me 1 month free and I'm not gonna pay for that. So... Yeah, can't watch it.

dropbox is free! you get (somewhere between 5-20GB i don't remember) of free space. if they gave you a 1month free trial it's of their pro/advanced plan which you don't need to watch. it is a fair chance it's your internet connection because i had the same problem with buffering when i used my phone's cellular data. i've confirmed with dropbox about being able to download the file if streaming doesn't work and you always have that option! try it on a different browser for streaming or just download it on your laptop/pc then delete after :D

I don't think it's common for couples to be together for years and not have sex lol That's ridiculous tbh That's just in some Kdramas...in reality, Koreans are just as sexual as any Western country. The difference is that they may not talk as openly about it, at least not with the opposite gender. although I've had some experiences where they were really blunt with me lol Also, the Korean male friends that i have are very touchy as well so...idk what to tell you. Maybe they would not be like that with Korean girls though lol
