hi,

i wanted to make a post rather than a lens clip because my lenses don't get seen by everyone that's here. this post is to address the next k-drama, which was supposed to be something (i don't remember) , then i changed it to goblin. unfortunately, i still am not sure which website i will be hosting the videos on due to people saying google drive didn't work all the time and blah blah. the reason the website is in question is because there is a size limit per week on vimeo. a time limit and size limit per video on daily motion and google apparently doesn't work for everyone.

google was convenient because its like $2-9 bucks a month. vimeo is what i've been testing out and i haven't seen any complaints, but vimeo for as many videos as i'd be making is about $450 a year (around $25 a month). i'm using the free trial until the 15th of the month, so i don't want to have to stop the series in the middle due to the quota being reached.

so i'll be starting with w: two worlds since goblin is 30 mins longer than it per episode. the extra 30 minutes will definitely push my file size over the weekly quota fast (you get 20gb each week with my trial (without it you get 5gb) and each of the videos will be around 5-6.5 gb alone.

what are you guys' suggestions? i don't want to have to split the videos in parts and have everyone clicking through parts.. and i also don't know if it's super wise to spend the amount for the vimeo plan either.

*also, i'll be starting the new drama this week as well as finishing SWDBS, i don't wanna keep spamming the videos, so i'll post one shortly and the other one tomorrow or 12 hours later and so on and so forth* - also i'm making the second episode available for all tiers now

Idk cause I never had an issue with google drive, even when first joined and watched old videos. I even rewatch American Hustle Life sometimes and it works fine for me :/ vimeo seems way too expensive and not worth it tbh. Maybe dailymotion? Just 720p instead of 1080 unless that bothers people.

Anonymous

Sooo... you aren’t going to react to Goblin? Why don’t you use Mega? I was soooo looking forward to your reactions lol but do what you think is best

anthonytoo

@Angie , originally i was going to do a different one, then i changed it to goblin but since the length/file size of the videos i believe i will need to start with w: two worlds until the website to host the videos is figured out

Anonymous

Please please react first to Goblin. I was looking forward to it. I don’t have problem with dailymotion uploads even if it’s in parts, paying that Vimeo pledge is too much.

anthonytoo

I was rocking with dailymotion, and I will continue but for shorter length videos, daily motion has a 2GB per file size limit and a 60 mins time limit on videos.

Anonymous

Which ever works for you, that would still be fine with me. And I don't mind watching your reaction with w: two worlds first, both of them are great anyways 👌

anthonytoo

there's no issues with the video being in parts? I will wait to see how others feel and if so then sure, i just felt it may be inconvenient and take you out of the atmosphere of the shows.

polecatter

You might be able to get away with making a burner YouTube acc and posting unlisted videos. Idk how it would hold up for the long run though...

anthonytoo

unlisted doesn't work it can still get blocked worldwide without it being public, i actually tried earlier with videos on anthonytoo, no luck. - edit, i didnt mean burn the stage lol

Anonymous

Hey, don't u wanna watch it in viki instead? Idk how copyright works but it might work here in patreon.

Anonymous

Please don't pay for Vimeo. That's way too much money. I got no other suggestions. I could generally get Google to work... Also splitting it into parts may not be ideal, but it's better than nothing. Unless someone complaining about that is funding an upgrade, seems like a "I would really love to, but it's not feasible" type of situation 🤷🏽‍♀️. From what I've seen everybody seems chill though and just appreciates what you're doing. I'm loving it ☺️.

anthonytoo

i could get google to work too, it just stressed me out a bit when others couldnt get it together :(

Anonymous

is it possible to use Youtube but make it an unlisted video and then give us the link here? or do they still remove it?

Valentine

My issues isnt really with google drive I would just have to download the episodes and those take 30- 1 hour to finish so I can watch it idk vimeo worked for me but I wouldn't want you I debt for my convenience I would take whatever you decide

Barbi Duarte

I couldn’t get google to work a lot of times, I thinks it has something to do with the internet connection being so slow in my country, it would just stay loading forever. I don’t mind the episodes to be uploaded In parts in dailymotion, perhaps you can make playlist for each episode so it goes to the next part automatically? That way it won’t feel like it’s divided

Anonymous

I'm actually looking forward to W more than Goblin so I'm all for your plan.

Anonymous

I actually think it’s better to react to w:two worlds first :)

anthonytoo

unfortunately it gets blocked worldwide, so even if they let it stay, no one can view it but me.

I haven't seen W yet, but it's been on my playlist forever, so definitely cool with watching that too😁 I was also having a ton of issues w Google, but ultimately (with a lot of finagling and switching between videos lol) was able to watch. Vimeo is going great, but with those prices, I realize it may not be an option. is there any issue with uploading to yt and setting the videos to private except for those that have the link? or will that still give copyright strikes/get taken down, etc?

Anonymous

w:two worlds is a really good drama, and is different from many others so i'm perfectly fine with you watching that first. as for what website to use, vimeo has been working fine and if you can afford that then its probably the best option but i totally understand if you don't want to pay the fee. i wouldn't mind if you uploaded in parts as long as there wasn't a huge gap in between the uploads. google drive had issues but i feel like viewers would understand if you have to upload there because there aren't many other options. anyway, i hope you figure something out and i'm looking forward to the new stwdbs uploads :)

Jaimie없다

oh, also, i noticed i was having a hard time seeing the lenses on my laptop for some reason. since i've downloaded the patreon app, i see them a lot more often unless i'm just at work or sth... edit: also, i dont mind watching things in parts if that works out better, just as long as it's not more work for you lol

Anonymous

I totally do not mind watching goblin in parts, it's such a good drama. But honestly at the end of the day pick whatever is going to be easier for you.

mssmercedes

i dont mind if the upload needs to be in parts if that's the best option. that plan seems way too expensive and i think everyone here is just happy to get the content however. is it a lot more work/time for you to upload 2 40 minute videos as opposed to 1 80 minute one? (just an example)

anthonytoo

my internet is cool with uploading it, BUT, it’ll be like 30 mins to export each part compared to 30 mins to export one whole video - but saving money is the most optimal so i’ll likely aim for that.

Janelle

Maybe it's because I never finished Goblin but did manage to finish W: Two Worlds but I'm definitely okay with you starting with W first. As for the whole thing with the quota... idk man but I personally wouldn't mind having to watch episodes in parts. I feel like if I can survive watching 8 parts of an anime episode in the early days of Youtube, I can survive anything.

Cam T Crowley

Aw, I was so looking forward to seeing your reactions to Goblin! 😔 I don't dislike W, I'll definitely watch both reactions, but I was way more excited for Goblin. So personally, of course I don't mind watching it in two parts. Also, I only had problems with the platforms a couple of times in the past, I think whichever the majority says works for them will work for me.

Anonymous

there's a site called ok.ru, it's basically a mostly russian social media site but you can also post videos on there for free and i've seen plenty other people do so with videos that would've otherwise been taken down on other sites-! give it a try and see if it works (p.s. in case you can't access it try with a vpn app)

Anonymous

W is an amazing series so definitely looking forward to watching it with you again. I'm Okay with google drive or vimeo or even dailymotion, whichever you find the most convenient.

Samara Gooch

Can you pay for that plan monthly or does it need to be in one lump?

Samara Gooch

I mean I prefer W to Goblin and think it'll be more your cup of tea but I still like Goblin so I'm okay either way. The less work for you though the better. Breaking down episodes will take you longer but I was going to say if you can pay a monthly subscription to Vimeo I'd happily pay for a month. But once you told me how to bypass the Google download limit it totally worked for me but upon reading I see it's still not good for others. Do what's going to make your life a little easier. Don't want you bogged down with uploads.

Itami

Aw I was looking forward to the end minute spamming of SWDBS videos lol. As for the host video site, I personally think dailymotion is the best. Google drive tends to have issues when too many people are viewing and vimeo tbh is superrrr slow and is way too expensive for that. I don't think the videos being in parts is an actual issue in all honesty and I watch a lot of other youtubers' patreon videos on dailymotion in parts just fine.

Anonymous

Its really cool to see how different your reaction is to dramas than mvs, etc but maybe do W first, it takes less time to go through and the plot isn’t as slow as goblin? And if you’re into manga or graphic novels you’ll really get into the story 😁 Its cheesy but full of fantasy meets reality elements. G-drive and dailymotion are what many drama watchers use. I’ve never used Vimeo but it might not be worth it after the trial and you’d have less than half a month on there for posting your reaction vids for the new drama 🤔 i’m not an expert on all this though 😅

Anonymous

I just gathered some money to pay for this months subscription again , but google drive doesn’t work for me at all , so hopefully we stick wt what we’ve been using so far 😔 I honestly wouldn’t even mind if it gets split into two parters, at least I’ll get to see it yk.. and about which drama ull watch, I’m ok wt both , they’re both good , I do favor goblin a lil more but that’s just because it’s my fav drama of all time lol , but I relate to two worlds cuz I was also in the shooting olympics like in the drama lol , except mine was “junior” Olympics aha

SARCASTIC Panda

I actually love the spam that's what I wait for so I can binge lol but definitely don't go for the vimeo, it's not worth it. I can live with downloading on google drive or watching it in parts as long as I can get your reactions. ^^

Rodica Ogmar

I'm fine with google drive or vimeo but vimeo is too expensive don't pay for it if its too much. I'm also fine with splitting parts too. Also another suggestion for drama is Signal this drama is really good. Tunnel and Romantic Doctor Kim are also very good.

Hello I finally paid 5.00 to wat h the rest of the reactions to strong girl do bong soon (I'm super late lol) but u dont see them. Are they on a different app
