I loved the music video, it’s just so visually pleasing. Also, the only really audible difference to foreigners who don’t speak either language would be Yoongi’s part where he goes “ha ha ha ha”, while in the Korean version he says “kal kal kal kal”.

I loved the visuals of the MV, but I wish they were singing in Korean. Japanese is my second language, but I just don't enjoy kpop songs that translate the lyrics into Japanese. I love the original Jpn songs like Let Go, but I have to be honest, this didn't sound like Japanese to me. And, I don't think it's about their accents either. Most Korean speakers have passable Japanese accents, with little to no effort, because a lot of Korean and Jpn sounds are similar. From interviews I've watched, BTS have pretty decent Jpn accents. I think it's the way the words are stressed and the cadence of the song is made for Korean, so obviously inserting another language will sound awkward. My question is, why do they sing in Japanese? The original songs of course, but why translate all the songs on the setlist. I've watched clips from the Jpn concerts and fan meets and it seems like the whole setlist is in Japanese. I've heard the Jpn music market is very particular. Is there concern that the Jpn market will not embrace a foreign language? Is it just easier for native Korean singers to pick up the Jpn language, so why not? I know kpop grps make most of their money in Japan, so they need to cater to the audience. I have to say tho, if I were J-Army, I'd be kinda disappointed to never hear them sing in Korean. I'm half Japanese, but I live in the US, so I'm not as familiar with the tastes of the Japanese music market. Maybe someone living in Japan can answer my question?

i'm not from japan but from what i heard, japan is the second biggest music market in the world and close to korea. South Korea is not a very big country, so lots of rookie groups and idols tend to have fans from there. lots of koreans actually know japanese, all of BTS know japanese (some more fluent than others), and it's a lot easier for them to learn japanese than english, hence why they didn't make all english songs (till recently, though it was just RM and JK). English is harder than Japanese, especially for Koreans. So i guess since 1) they know the language 2) the countries are apparently close 3) their fanbase is huge there, they just decide to translate a few songs and give them special albums. it doesn't bother me much, but honestly, I never listen to their translated japanese songs. Cause it bothers me since I already know the korean song, so now it just sounds weird with different words.
