I spent some time this week working on a few levels.

I've got a layout started on the town level and surrounding area.  I plan for this area to not only be the town, but also the access point for a few other levels, as well as some things for the player to explore.   Like I've previously mentioned, I don't plan on making the area gigantic or even into a true "open world", but I think it'll be big enough to be interesting to interact with.


I've also continued to work on some animations for both enemies falling asleep, and Meridiana bathing.


One other thing I've been trying to do is rewrite the various absorbable abilities to be one button each.  I'd like the player to have access to more then one without having to switch, and to help with that it would be much easier if the player only needed one button per power.

This means setting up a different effect depending on whether you hold the attack button, or tap it.  So far, it's going fine remapping the abilities this way, although I do find myself wanting to rework a couple powers that feel underwhelming. (Water bomb, for example, doesn't feel super useful as is).   Unless inspiration hits though, I'll likely just remap the powers as they are currently.

I had hoped to have somethings I'd wanted to release for you guys to give some feedback on, but I didn't quite get there, so I'll likely be releasing that in a couple weeks!
