Busy week!
I got drawing magic from individual sources fully working, with some FX and sounds so the player knows what's going on.
In the next test the player will be able to draw, and store magic for casting spells. Sources recharge fairly quickly, but it takes a while to draw from them.
I really like the effect and how it plays out, but we'll wait for feedback from testing to see if its something that sticks around.
I also finally got the movement update that I really wanted completed. The player can now move around when carrying objects or shooting pretty freely, and quickly. I plan for additional spells to be useable in a similar fashion.
Its something I've been trying to get right for a while, and it just never clicked. I'm glad I was finally able to get it, as now I can make a few more action oriented spells!
There are a few spells/effects that look a little broken currently because of the change, but I'll be able to fix those pretty quickly!
Now that these changes are done, I want to make a few more quick changes, and then I should be able to release a new test build this week! I had hoped to get it done a little earlier, but I really want to make a few more adjustments that popped up first!
