This week I continued working on the stuff I've been slowly tackling.  As well as a few new things.

Continued on the town assets, slowly but surely I'm building all the stuff needed, and I'm pretty happy with the quality of it all.

As you can see in the short clip at the top, I've also implemented monsters exploding.  In certain situations, like for example heavy objects hitting them at high speeds, the poor monster bodies might become a bit explosive.

I've got a few instances where I want to use this, and hopefully it'll end up funnier then it is gory.

I also want certain "attacks"  to have a visible drain effect on enemies, so I've been working on that as well.   It tough trying to find the right materials, but I think this will look really cool once its all implemented, and fit the game.

All of the changes are done strictly in the materials, so while its not super fast to set up, its minimally disruptive.

I want Meridiana's adventure in the tutorial to end in a foray into a demon dungeon. To that affect I've spent some time this week concepting imp heads.   They are ugly and not near ready, but I thought it would be a good idea to show off my process at least.

Things always look terrible until they don't.

first try (older)

second attempt (not much better)

Lastly, I did put together a short adult animation this week.  This one again features my favorite plank of wood.  Of course though I can't show that here.

Hope everyone stays safe, and have a wonderful week!
