November 8th Weekly Update (Patreon)

I spent some time this week putting work into the succubus model that I want to use to replace the current one.  This took a bit of a back seat for a while, as I had more immediate things to get working, but I really want to start putting in dialogue, and this character is the big talker for the tutorial area.

I often call her the incubus, and that's because in this world, they are the same creature.  They can change their appearance/gender at will, and to any combination that would best work to get them their next meal.  Of course they all have preferences for how they present themselves.
They even know how to disguise themselves as other people if they need to.

I also spent some time working on a slow motion spell.  I'd kinda like it to work a little like Super Hot, not so much that moving makes time go faster, but that doing actions like casting a spell or firing a weapon temporarily speeds time up.  I found it a bit frustrating to fire a gun, and then having to hold on the target until the entire animation plays out in slow motion, so I think I've worked out a way for it to speed up just long enough for the shot, or spell to be fired off, and then go back to slow.

Outside of these things, I'm afraid the election took a lot of my time as I imagine it did for many Americans.  I watch politics very closely, so you can imagine this was a fairly stressful week!
