I tried to spend a lot of time this week finishing the exteriors of the fishing village buildings, so that I have an area you can run around and fight in.
This type of stuff is not something I have a lot of experience with, so I learned a lot while building this area, and I think that'll help a lot when I build my next town area.
I learned a lot about trim sheets and shared textures and materials and vertex masking etc, so this village might not be the most efficient, and has way to many little modular parts. I took a little time to practice some other stuff and I think I've already got a slightly better grasp on stuff.
While this town still needs interiors and decorations, it has enough that I can throw some enemies in it, and let people do some fighting.
I did also add an auto aim for shooting, though it is primarily for controller. Using it with a mouse, it is a bit sticky. I'll make sure to have a button to turn it off and on in the options for the next build.
Pending some disaster, I do want to put a new build out this week, so look for it later in the week!
