This week I started to work on building the actual level.  My focus this time around is on making things a bit more modular and efficient.  There are a few things I focused on to this end.

I've tried to make it a little less open.  The more the landscape occluded the background, the less geometry needs to be rendered, and this helps with the frame rate a bit.

I've also gone through and packed the textures as much as possible.  This is more of a memory save, as the packed textures tend to take up a lot less space. I actually spent a few hours just packing textures(boring work!)

I still want to go through and build some imposter cards and see how much that improves the frame rate.  I also want to see if using bigger trees can still occlude the background, but require less geometry.

While this took most of my time, I took a little bit of time to update some effects, as well as do some tests on new effects.  FX are something I tend to buy from the asset store, as that's just not my field of expertise, but sometimes what I want isn't available.  I did find a really nice pack this will help a lot with status effect notification.

And one of my own I was doing some tests on:

Thanks for your time and support!  Hopefully I can get you guys into this level really soon!
