Agreed Mrs Laruso is one of my favorite characters but thats deliberate on the part of the writers. Shes got great lines and she sees and senses what we the audience sees. We already know the big picture We know the real truth so does Daniels Wife. Thats also why Miguels grandma is a great character she senses the truth that Johnny is good and good for Miguel and his mom. She also has great lines.

Mrs Laruso has really grown on me and I wish she was in the show more to be honest! I also never considered Miguels grandma to be in that sort of role for him but I can totally see it now as well. She can always sense the good intentions behind Johnny's actions which I think is something Johnny needs
