Wow, that's not how I saw this the first time I watched it. I thought finally JMW has resolved all that misery and self loathing, after one last bought of self destructiveness and one last black outfit, so the end made me feel relieved more than anything else. This despite all the angst for almost every other character and the stress leading up to it.

I totally get what you mean when you say she's become two different people in your head. I don't see IU at all either. Though I think that she's so iconic as Jang Man Wol that she's going to have a hard time separating herself from this role too. But more in the way that every time she wears a super fancy outfit and long black hair, you can't help but be reminded of Jang Man Wol a little.

Her upcoming movie "Broker" is anticipated to be submitted for Cannes Film Festival! If that happen then OMFG!! IU might attend the red carpet depending on the covid situation but we are keeping our fingers crossed! <3

IU had mentioned in one of her interviews that her favorite scene in HDL is the bus stop scene of Ku Chan Seong feeling the loss of JMW. Every time I see that scene it makes me teary eyed.
