Dear Patrons,

September is just around the corner, and for many of us it means the end of summer holidays. But fear not, for Team Wabbabrick has a cure for the autumn lag! A brand, new Brixel Update, releasing in the beginning of September!

Version 2.5 is in the making! And weare here to share with you some facts about the new update!

But first of all, we would like to thank you for your votes in the latest poll! The mobs that received most of your votes will make it to the new update! Your participation in those poles is the best way to contribute to development of Brixel, and it help us a lot with sketching the roadmap for the project! Your feedback is always very important to us.

The theme of the update is no longer a secret: it's "Mobs", part 3! And this time, we will be expanding our menagerie with some really exotic species! :) You will now encounter the Brixel version of Nether residents, like Piglins, Blazes and Hoglins! Zombified versions of those will be included as well. We will also add a good amount of Overworld mobs, like Axolotls or Slimes. Some of the existing mobs like Wolves, Donkeys or Bats will be remastered, for better performance.

We also have a plan when it comes to further optimisation. Some of the existing assets like logos, panoramas, GUI and Lava (especially this one) will be revamped, which should give a noticeable FPS improvement.

We are constantly working on improvements when it comes to the existing content, to make Brixel a top quality product. It's always a good thing to look behind and check if the recently gained experience can help with improving some of the older stuff.

What are the plans for the future? We will be definitely giving the Ancient City a go, focusing one of the updates totally around this theme. We really feel that this part of the game deserves its own, dedicated update, with all of the related blocks and items. And the Warden mob will be there too!

The update will drop on 11th of September, stay tuned!

Best regards,

Team Wabbabrick
