Here are some shots of concept art that I've made for the project. 

I created physical models of Brixels to represent how they would look in real life scale. The props were modelled digitally, and then 3d printed in liquid resin.  I've hand painted them afterwards. 

The Wabbabrick is a reimagined version of a pickaxe. I feel that it suits better for the purpose of breaking "plastic" bricks than its predecessor. Together with the sound effect, it is supposed to deliver more immersion of interacting with the world made of bricks.

SEUS PTGI HRR Test 2.1 shader allows a deeper interaction between the blocks and the items that can be attached to them.. Item geometry can be actually "embedded" into the parallax occlusion mapped surfaces.  This makes that items like torch or redstone can actually be put inside the blocks.
