Status Update (Patreon)

Hey, everyone,

As you guys noticed, I ended up not posting the update in the deadline I mentioned. I guess part of me thought that if I worked as hard as I could, I would get it done just a few hours after the deadline and ended up postponing posting about it on Patreon until I could. I'll explain what happened exactly that caused it to delay longer than intended:

As those of you keeping up to date on Keisuke's route already know, the story is currently touching on the theme of domestic abuse. It's something that needs to be handled really carefully and delicately, as it's a subject that deserves respect and shouldn't be taken lightly. On this update, Keisuke and Yuuichi would have a talk about it (I won't say much more than this, at the risk of spoiling), and, when I was proofreading close to release, I realized that I didn't treat the subject to my satisfaction. I felt it wasn't treated with the respect it deserved and ended up rewriting a huge portion of the update. As a result, I ended up delaying myself tremendously, and keeping you guys in the dark about it isn't cool.

I'll be putting the finishing touches on it today and posting the update as is. It might be a little rougher around the edges than I'd like, but I've already delayed it way longer than I should have. My initial plan was to include days 31 and 32 in this update, but I ended up having to scrap my plans for day 32, as I didn't have enough time to rewrite it too. As a result, this update will be a tad shorter than usual.

However, it will be posted later tonight without fail. It's currently 4:30PM my time. I'll have class (college) tonight, but it'll be a shorter class period since I don't take one of the subjects given today. By midnight (my timezone) the update should be getting posted. I'm sorry again for the delay. To those who reached out to me via Patreon DMs, I'm sorry for not answering them until now. I was feeling ashamed of myself for delaying it this much simply due to feeling picky about the quality of the update, but as there were already lots of people feeling upset or uncomfortable with the subject matter that is getting touched upon in Keisuke's route, I wanted to do my best to portray it as well as I possibly could.
