Hey there.

This... was a really tough month to work. I already talked about it more at length in my author's notes at the end of this update but with my move, packing up for the move, unpacking and all that I actually was REALLY strapped for time for this update. Hopefully I'll have been able to put out something up to the quality standard you guys are used to. As for myself, I really need to pass out right now. I've only slept 4 hours in the last 65 hours...

Okay, I play the new update for Shoichi and I got pissed at the end....But it was a good update. And I like it a lot.

I really hope you've had some sleep now, Basket. That was a really good update, it didn't feel short at all so don't worry. I really like Kiga both both for his sprite and his character. Any chance of Takehiko suffering some form of cosmic justice soon? Asking for a friend :)

Go get some rest. It was a good update. I'm always a little surprised when Yuuichi's dad comes up in Tennis Ace, but he always seems to be used well.

aahhhh one day late review. *SPOILERS AHEAD* I should be resigned to the fact that Shoichi updates will be devastating after anything good happens to them. Poor boys... it's gonna be tough replaying this one... As much as I hated what happened to them, this update was very good. The skeleton in Shoichi's closet finally shows its face. It's thrown the relationship into a very very interesting and invigorating (if not painful) turn. Good work on the writing/proofreading, I didn't actually catch any typo/word errors on my first playthrough! I'll look for more... again... one day... probably not anytime soon. my heart. I like seeing the Yuu/Aki dynamic being expounded upon, though it kinda feels like Yuu keeps being... a bit too dull for how smart he should be. Probably the point? It's alright, though. Haruki was... weird. Felt a bit backwards compared to when we saw him last, but I guess it's to show the dynamic between him and the new character? Shoichi not knowing they're friends(?) is also a bit weird considering he's the VP. Great job on making these two (Yuu/Sho) sound... well... absolutely helpless (don't mean it in a bad way). It really puts into perspective how powerless they feel about the whole thing, and the dad quip made me want to hurt someone real bad lmao. These very heavy choices these last 2 blueboi updates have been GREAT. Last update it was choosing between learning about Shoichi's dad or how he feels about Yuu's lack of effort and now this horrible, horrible choice that doesn't end well either way, but really shows how Yuu wants Shoichi to see where he stands on things. More, please. They're both gut wrenching in good ways. Here's hoping they have a much larger impact later on. [not gonna lie, when Kiga showed up I thought he was an insert because I recall seeing his sprite on nyaruh's DA. I read the description and it sounds like he was already in the game, so I changed my mind about it... but still kinda off about it.] Overall, absolutely solid. No problem here on how short it was (it wasn't); it was really meaty with those scenes. I can absolutely relate with the 4 hours of sleep in 3 days; go get some rest! Hope you won't have to do that again and that your move goes smoothly!

Really went heavy on the family drama this update. It was heart-wrenching. Well done on the writing, as always.

This was actually gut wrenching. I felt helpless no matter what I went with on this update. Really brutal update to be sure

Well that escalated quickly. I'm torn between the mindset of, Yuuichi needs to lean when to keep his mouth shut, and, Good, Someone needed to say what we're all thinking, but ultimately it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out in the end there. Cool to see one of the side characters have expressive sprites, but a tad surprising to see it be one that made their first appearance vs ones that had been around awhile (like Yuuichi's classmates for example) and it was particularly noticeable thanks to Haruki's static expression, though in fairness Haruki does seem the type to have one basic facial expression no matter what he's feeling at the time so maybe that was by design. Overall a solid update, with a fair number of typo's but not an excessive amount. And I wouldn't worry too overly much about it's length considering I don't personally see that 150 lines one way or the other makes a noticeable difference in the overall size of the update. (i.e. making it feel longer or shorter than average)

Wow, that was dramatic! Well done on another fantastic update. I'm intrigued to see how Shoichi's story plays out, so please don't burn yourself out before you get to the end. Take care of yourself and get some rest - I think you're more than earned it.

This visual novel kills me emotionally. Since i can relate to shoichi's situation. The dramatic endig of this update brought out the worst of me, i almost shouted at that abusive dad. One thing tho is faulty for me. I know that Yuuichi is a brat a lot of times, but if he loves Shooichi, i think he should be honest with him, even if he is so child-like, cuz these two things just don't make sense for me. I know it's new for him, but i don't think that if you already let the other act upon his sexual desire , and you enjoyed it. Makes no sense to hide it even if it's embarassing. The MC as far as i know cares a lot about Shooichi so ehy would he not want to make him happy? Anyway i really love this visual novel, and you are a great inspiration for me to create my kind of novel one day.

you KNOW the writing is fantastic when you truly root for a characters future to be bright. I love this game so much, I started to play this game for the love making scenes but by god I haven't been so emotionally invested in a visual novel since katawa shoujo!
