For some reason, when I open the file, I can't get anything to be visible. What am I doing wrong?

So, Nothing. It just happens randomly from blender to blender file. So All you have to do is just Unhide it. In the OverView; There is a Panel that looks like a Funnel, Just open that up and click the little "Monitor" Button. Now this will give you a new option in the overview. So just look for Bowsers object in the Overview and Click the monitor button on it so that it is toggled on.
