A lot of planning goes into the making of a comic, you need actors, a setting a plot and some killer scenarios that need to play out.

An easy way. I find to plan all these things out, as well as just doing it in my head, is to draw quick little rough sketches, also known as 'thumbnailing" to get through the process.
