Lab Rats

A pair of cute rat scientists get into a prank war at the lab and things grow out of control.

So a rather basic premise but plenty of room to input some ideas. What exactly are the pranks these rats end up playing on each other? Here's a question, are they ACTUALLY lab rats, like are they Pinky and The Brain a cage and escaping to play with the equipment or are they full sized scientist ladies?

Any ideas for what sort of character arcs or interactions might occur as they grow? What's the ending of this tale look like? What specifically gets 'out of control'?
