Here's the link for the pre-polished build of the first level of Future Fragments: the Volcanic Mines.

The other four levels are near completion as well, of course. Still not giving an ETA for the game though besides it coming out in 2023.

MAIN ADDITIONS TO THIS BUILD


  • The main addition to this build, in terms of content, are a few new H-scenes and LOTS of fleshed out NPCs with interconnected storylines and choices, involving a full display of the Ideals personality system which causes multiple cutscenes to check for your points in 8 different "Ideals".
  • There's also lots and lots of smaller new things added too, of course.
  • Have fun, experiment, try different orders of interacting with NPCs, try killing NPCs and seeing what happens, just go nuts with it!
  • Minus the bugs, the temporarily disabled boss and 3 other cutscenes, this is 1:1 what the first level of the game will be like.
  • That all said, this IS a pre-polished build of the first level of the game; there are still some bugs (read below for those).
  • This build will be getting a polished version at some point in the future with these bugs fixed, with the boss and missing cutscenes re-enabled.

SOME OF THE BUGS THAT WILL BE FIXED IN THE POLISHED FULL LEVEL DEMO COMING AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE


  • The ADMN Spawner Boss and 3 other cutscenes are disabled because of a bug affecting all of them; they'll be back in the polished version
  • The map right before entering the Hub Map has no music currently
  • The gallery doesn't currently display the text/story alongside the Game Over CGs; the in-game CGs work as intended, though.
  • Even if you're damaged by the ADMN slime blobs, you'll still be able to get the "didn't take damage on a Path" achievement
  • The pause menu can have the same keybinding as other inputs
  • There's cutscenes where you can kill enemies and yet still get the "Pacifist Bonus" for beating a path without killing any enemies
  • NPCs hit with the Horseshoe ability are stunned indefinitely
  • Fans aren't shown blowing during Rusegarn's scene in P1M2
  • Glider enemies can potentially stop doing damage if they hit Talia from below
  • Pressing ESC in the Memorial Room disables the music in there

Hah i love the voice acting, but i didn't expect every databank to be voiced nor to be connected with NPC's in the level reacting differently depending on which databanks and prior actions you've done when talking to them. Also i learned what Doffing means, and that's the last thing i expected. Still missing 3% on the map completion....for now.

The content is great, but it runs incredibly rough and juddery even with vsync on, and the controls feel VERY unresponsive. Like it's running at half framerate.

That's strange; what operating system are you on and all that stuff? As a note, the game *does* run natively at 30 FPS, so if that's the framerate you're seeing, that's normal, but the controls shouldn't be unresponsible nor should it look juddery etc.

The demo is great! Big improvements compared to the previous fire level demo, though it felt shorter compared to the electric level. Also, what happened to the glider hypnosis animation? I really liked that one.
