Hey everyone,

We're starting to push more Patreon videos right now -- hope that's OK with you all! It's just some extra behind the scenes and Patrons Ask GN content. This one talks about an impressively horrible PS5 aftermarket cooler we bought, our upcoming work on the Corsair 5000D, and dremeling the Arctic Freezer. Enjoy!

I'm sure you guys have already thought of this, but are the PS5 accessory fans easily reversible?

gamersnexus

Haha, we did look at that. They're easy to reverse, but the other aspect of it (noise) is so unbelievably bad that we didn't bother testing it that way.

Well OBVIOUSLY this is yet another cooling solution that relies on Thermaltake's 4th dimensional space-time folding scheme, so maybe RP(N) is correct, with the N standing for the Minkowski metric tensor... I mean how else are they going to define Euclidian space in fourth dimensional topology to find a place to blow all that air... PFFFT

More content?? No, that's not OK at all! Haha, just kidding, I love it.

The Arctic Freezer 50 TR works great with non-RGB memory, eg. G.skill Ageis 3200.

It amazes me how many things come to market that just don't work. You would think there would be at least 1 engineer or product development team member who would stand up and say "hey, this is a bad product, lets try (x) and see how that works"

Anonymous

I wouldn't call it a scam because it is incompetence not malice. It still is shit though.

At the 6m05s mark, what's that deadman switch for?

hey. can u please do a report on the agesa 1.2.0.0.?theres very little info on the webs about what it actually contains. cheers.

Cleansweep

I'd imagine whoever's coming up with these PS5 fans is a bare minimum crew to get the product designed, manufactured, and shipped. That would explain many of the odd design choices - they don't have the people to do proper testing beyond "does it fit securely?" and "is it made within spec?"

I think that's some EVGA capture device. It showed up during the ln2 oc competition with Jayz.
