Portfolio Mgt Lessons: Ran vs IA Performance (Patreon)

A few members asked for an update on the portfolios.  Ran and I made a video 11 mths ago - Dec 2022 and allocated $2000 each. 

A few lessons here - results so far are as follows - RAN is Portfolio #1 from DAPT and I am #2.  My results have been better all year.  Mine is up 52.6% and his is up 29.7%.  Let's see why!

First I tend to like fewer assets with higher concentration

This is Ran's initial allocation and second pie chart is value today

Mine is as follows - as usual I do things in 3's

Ran made 23 investments - I made 10 but I had 90% in 3 assets

2 Assets saved his portfolio - INJ and RNDR.  If he did not have those in his 23 he would be in trouble.  Over half are negative 11 mths later

I had a few losers - MATIC UNI and FTM but it did not impact the portfolio as my allocation was so small

ALLOCATIONS ARE CRITICAL both to protect downside and max upside.  This chart shows profit/loss by asset.
