Looks like Circle blew the whistle on Paxos for some compliance violations. Blackrock runs Circle and they have a big USDC backed fund coming soon (fully registered and approved by the SEC). This was a power play for stablecoin supremacy and control (not tinfoil hat conspiracies, sorry) Furthermore, the powers that be don't like shady stuff on Binance being done with USD backed stablecoins, no doubt concerns regarding AML and various this and that. Point is, USDC is fine and Coinbase is in league with Blackrock. Coinbase is going to grow like a weed as a fully registered and compliant exchange. No reason to panic folks. This is a simple and logical explanation....no cabal of evil required.
