SOL withdrawal from Coinbase Pro (Patreon)

Hi Team 

I had 4 digits in SOL on CBPro for trading. 

I actually just removed it all to my Phantom wallet and will stake. 

I am no longer 100% sure of Coinbase. 

Strange to think that Phantom wallet is safer than Coinbase Pro but right now I have lost all faith in CeFi 

No to be alarmist but once bitten twice shy. 

In full transparency I will always share all I do in real time here.

James what hardware Wallet do u recommend using when transferring from cb? I’m thinking about getting my stuff off there. I don’t think there is a problem because bc doesn’t lend much (only a few tokens and low interest rates) but I’m not seeking so why not hold it myself. But I’m a side note….just reading all the comments and questions….”we” are really into this space and everyone has questions…me included…. Just goes to show u how new and early this space is. Just an observation.

I forgot why Exodus is bad. Was it based in Ukraine? Is that why?

I believe the validator they use as a staking service, Everstake, is based in Kiev.

Everstake is a large operation and that might bring you peace of mind, but it compromises decentralization of the network. It's recommended to use smaller validators.

I also think Exodus' code is not open source. If you use it use a hardware wallet with it.
