What effect will the rise of fractional share trading have on the benefit of these splits? No one seems to be factoring in that retail investors already don’t have to buy a whole Amazon share anymore.

All shares or option positions get the split July 15th regardless of when they are opened. Today thru July 14th.

Is it safe to assume that price will go up immediately following the split? So better to own the share(s) before that?

I think typically it’s the opposite. The price takes a small dip after the split as some long term holders and arbitrage players take profit. Then it goes on another run. Of course no way to truly predict it.

Based on everything I've heard, it's so hard to tell which seems to be the more bullish: Amazon or Google - especially with options opening up for both to so many people after the splits!

James had a session covering his price prediction in 2025 for Google and Tesla. Tesla definitely wins out in a bull market scenario while Google wins slightly in a bear market scenario. I’m definitely betting on Tesla. That said if I had that money I’d invest in both with a heavier Tesla bag—NFA
