He is on fire

Saylor has Bitcoin fever.

Anonymous

When I tell my friends I am buying bitcoin they smirk

Anonymous

ONly God knows what it means for the future

Anonymous

Crazy!

Anonymous

What an addict! I mean it in the best way possible.

Anonymous

He’s so greedy!! 😂

Anonymous

That’s awesome, makes me feel better for keeping buying even though price might seem “high”, snagged a bunch today at 55.1K

Anonymous

"bullish" just doesn't describe it...

Anonymous

Is Michael Saylor single?😂

Anonymous

He buys at exactly the same times I do if only I had the same amount of $$$ 😂

Anonymous

WOW! I thought I was hooked!

MSTR has treated me very well. There is a great series where Michael Saylor and Robert Breedlove discuss all sort of things. It's long, but worth the time imo. Do you think MSTR acquiring so much bitcoin will be good or bad for bitcoin?

Anonymous

Just a trip down my memory lane. Last year Mar 12 BTC crashed 40% and hit 4k.

Anonymous

I bought .3 BTC at $4600. Wish I had bought 20.

Anonymous

⁉️⁉️ Question... I have roughly half of my crypo portfolio in BTC and half in ETH. But the more I read about both, I'm wondering if I shouldn't have 100% in BTC. Thoughts?

Anonymous

Just an opinion James, but I would grow the BTC and let it assume a bigger role. FWIW after taking into account derivative plays like MSTR, GBTC and ETHE I am, percentage wise, 69/13/11/5 BTC/ETH/ADA/DOT. I tilt even more to BTC because of MSTR options not counted above which control about 1.9BTC.

Anonymous

So at this point how risky is bitcoin.. really ?

Anonymous

Unreal!

Anonymous

I appreciate his conviction and share the same sentiment towards Bitcoin and blockchain technology, but where is risk management in recent Saylor’s moves?!....this worries me...

Anonymous

Ethereum is the going to be the lubricant protocol behind all worthwhile DeFi. Bitcoin is the all powerful electrical binding monetary force whose existence is strengthened for every unit of fiat it leaves in its trail. Not only is it a function of the inverse of confidence in the system but it's a means to free us from the clutches of a decrepit and dying post gold standard world we're trying to live by. Both will exist. It's a personal choice in the end. A tad higher allocation to BTC would probably be your best bet.

Anonymous

Yeah.... They is some of what I read too and concerned me

Anonymous

I think day to day it's riskier than most investments. Long-term, I think it's very stable. Set it forget it is a great idea for many/most folks.

91,325 btc

Anonymous

In his view, it's riskier to hold cash... And thus far, he's right... The fed just printed $1.9 trillion dollars backed by nothing... AKA hyperinflation... He's buying something deflationary. Considering he's the MSTL majority shareholder, MSTL is a profitable business separate from its BTC holdings, and how he is also massively independently wealthy (land + superyachts, etc), he can afford to be hugely speculative and put almost all his eggs in one basket... It's not a risk a "normal" person would take, but he can afford to and still be filthy rich if it goes to zero. See also - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntbZYUOdxxY

(91325 btc * $57,000) / 7.62m shares = $682/ share in equity on a stock trading at $784/ share...screams buy to me if you believe someone like saylor can invest that money and produce a result.

Anonymous

The company itself is around 1bn worth. You have to take that into account. According to my calculations the actual value of a share is around $800 as of today.

Anonymous

@rgbtxus thanks for showing your Calc, my model was using the wrong share count also and I was sitting here thinking WTF why isn’t MSTR being bought up! So it’s worth adding some limit buys around 650, 680, 700. Can’t buy GBTC in UK SIPP.

Anonymous

I have not taken the time to read the various loan documents, but I would not be surprised if there is some contingent dilution that should be factored in to a careful analysis of MSTR. But, I own both the shares and a handful of options in MSTR. IIRC James called out 700 as a great entry point. That fits my thinking to a tee. Besides, who does not want a ride on the Saylor comet?

Anonymous

I would love to have James opinion. Do you think MSTR will start generating income on BTC holdings in near future?

Anonymous

I wonder with the scale of 91k bitcoins, will it be still feasible to capture some interest by loaning out those bitcoins? I heard people talking about 5% interest on $100k StableCoin account, but MSTR now has upward of $5billion value (say value at $55k per Bitcoin). I recall in one case MSTR’s cost is 1% per year. It would be heaven to earn 5% interest on 1% cost.

Anonymous

Maybe they will open a corporate account with blockfi..

Anonymous

Thanks for the heads up. Just added the Saylor Series to my YouTube playlist. 👍

I didn't know Michael Saylor before getting into crypto. But after watching a lot of interviews of him including one from 8 years ago - https://youtu.be/HSZchBL-DDg I believe he is visionary and may have a time machine in his pocket.

Anonymous

It involves risk... Someone else has the keys if he does that... Risking 100% for a return of 4% on an asset you're expecting to appreciate in value by 200% a year anyway doesn't make much sense!!

Anonymous

Hi associate Ross Stevens is also a visionary catch his talk - https://youtu.be/NoobUKNttmw

Anonymous

I think he is visionary. Don't forget he was also the one who sold the voice.com domain name for an unbelievable $30 M in 2019. Buyer was Block.one, which is basically EOS, owner of 140,000 BTC as per bitcointreasuries.org.

Anonymous

Maybe that's one of his goals - to top Block.one's BTC holdings.

Anonymous

It seems dangerous to go into a BTC investment without some form of an exit strategy. Shouldn't there be a plan to dollar-cost out?

Anonymous

I got more than one, but f the one thats working for me is 20/25 % at key levels.

This just flashed Megan The Stallion’s song in my head. Apparently Savage is the way to be in 2021.
