Hi all, we're starting to do the episodes strictly remotely now for the duration, so these won't be banked in advance like before, so I can't tell you as much in advance!

The first May episode will be a tribute to Gene Deitch, who recently passed away at 95. Ironically, we were going to discuss his roots in our UPA episode, which will be the second May show now (singling out the Bobe Cannon-T. Hee classic Christopher Crumpet).

The first Spinach Skrewtny episode is recorded and we'll be posting it some time in early May, on an off week from the regular show. This will be a $5+ Patreon exclusive, so if you're still at the lower level, think about raising your tier! This is going to end up being a long podcast... The first year of Popeyes only had six cartoons and this is at least an hour. Can't wait to get to the years with 14 cartoons a season!

With the recent Popeye Blu-ray releases, I’ve wondered why there hasn’t been an in depth book on Popeye with the kind of background information from the Popeye DVD documentaries. The Spinach Skrewtny episodes should be the next best thing. So looking forward.

Looking forward to these. Also wanted to suggest for further episodes “Symphony Hour (‘42)” and “The Eager Beaver (‘46)”. Stay safe guys!
