I like it so far. I have to remind myself that they can’t put everything in this. It’s only 8 episodes I believe but I feel like they put the key points in the first episode, which is good. So for the people who never saw avatar before can follow along easily. And I am happy that we actually saw the fight between the fire and airbenders. It was sad but the action was top tier. I hope they have a little bit more comedy in the rest of the episodes. But overall, good start Netflix lol

Part of the reason the writers left was that they didn't get the money that Netflix promised in the beginning of the project. They have now signed with another company who were willing to give them a blank check so they can do what they want. Now they are preparing a movie that takes place when the gang are in their late twenties, and also another Avatar series that focuses on the next Avatar after Korra. So things seemed to work out for the best on both ends.

I don't really comment much, but I am so happy you're watching/reacting to this. I'm happy with the casting so far, and of course my fellow N.A's coming through on this show. I love that Indigenous actors/actresses are getting so much better roles after so long of getting these stereotypical 'ingin' roles. Also, The actress who plays Katara is Kiawenti:io Tarbell. She's a fellow Kanie'kehaka- a.k.a. Mohawk Native of First Nations. So far I think she's doing a great job. There's also like 12 other Native Americans acting in this show and I love to see it, it hits home for me(in a good way). Looking forward to watching this with you.
