This just got REAL. Great job to the TVXQ team for killing such a challenging song! I honestly feel like this is going by so fast lol we're already on the last mission so we'll be seeing our new unit very soon! Also seeing Johnny, Haechan, & Ten in here made me so proud like look at them being mentors 😭 

Anyways, Hope you guys enjoy this one and I'll see you next week for the NCT Mission!

i wish they gave us fancam or fullcams, so we can see what they mean by minjae’s “bad” dancing, cuz he stood out to me in this performance and i couldn’t really understand their feedbacks🥲 and the reason for 10th place, i think it’s because they didn’t see much improvement in him compared to other trainees, bcs they know how good his vocals is, but i guess they weren’t impressed, that’s what usually happens when you’re good at something and you can’t stay the same, even if you’re the best, i guess you need to show something new everytime

Yo that would be a good idea about the fancams. I understand where they were coming from and I know it wasn't to be mean or anything because they know he's talented, but man for some reason 10th place felt so low to me considering that i didn't think he dancing was bad. It's all good tho cause he has another chance to show them something different! :)

New video ❗❗ i totally understand what you mean about the fandom being chaotic Theres been a lot of "fans" who have been degrading NCT for things that are out of the members' control. All we should do really is support the members for their efforts because i can feel that, especially in 2023, their schedules have been jam packed and their exhaustion is palpable. Tbh, I also feel iffy about the boys joining nct because nct feels like a solid group already, and they've demonstrated that in the whole nct concert, but i want the boys to showcase their talents even more than that, so im definitely gonna think of them more as a new group rather than a part of nct

Thank you for the reaction. Can't wait to see the next episode. Yeah the fandom is weird right now and actually for me it's not easy eather because I was always felt so good in the fandom. But I just try to focus on the boys and the positive site if the fandom that is existing. And believe me they are still many people in this fandom who are welcome these boys. We may not see them because of the negativity. One of there pre debut show in Japan is even sold out. Many Japanese nctzen and non nctzen are rooting for them. The last ep even trended in Twitter Japan. They will focus on the Japanese market so it's good. It's not these boys fault they trained hard to for there dreams too. I believe if some people would open more and watch the show the will love them too. And maybe it will be not easy for them in this fandom but soon ir later people have to accept them as part of NCT.

I just know I'm going to bawl my eyes out once the final lineup is out. I feel so attached to the trainees already. It's a good thing my fave is yushi and he's already fixed in the lineup cause I don't think I'd be able to handle it in the last episode.Thanks for the great reaction, as always and for supporting all the trainees.

i think everyone include the judges have a really high standard for minjae because of his training periode (2 years). So they think that Minjae has no improvement compared to other trainees whose training period is less than him. Of course I am also not satisfied with the ranking. i hope he will make it next week.

Right, I've been seeing a lot of fans not supporting this entire thing and I feel really bad coz it's not the trainees' fault that they are going to debut in NCT and SungTaro had to leave the group to join a new group.

The part Sakuya danced to (Sungchan's rap) was actually choreographed by Ten himself. Nice to see him showing it to the man himself hehe I really like Minjae, so sad to see him ranking very low. He reminds me of SMROOKIE Doyoung & Taeil who can sing but not really good at dancing but look at where they are now. If they give him a chance, I'm sure he'll get better too 🙏 I hope they open up more space for the Japanese unit. At least 7 members is actually perfect for a better dance formation. Even WayV with current 6 members makes the formation looks incomplete because someone has to be directly behind the center. Even number is not a preferred dance formation number. 🥲

Yessssssss thank youu for being safe place to us Caitlin. I am so attached to them already. This why I don’t like when SM reveal their traineee, i want all of them to debut 😭. As an old SM fan i am always ask why Johnny, Kun, Doyoung & Ten not having unit already, i mean yes ten injured, but still its frust to see him not having unit until 2019, i mean of course i ask to myself only. The girl on the other side all of them left, well atleast ning2 making it to Aespa. I watched almost all SM rookies show. Thank God Na Yuta also making a debut. I’ve been wreck by him on abnormal summit show, he still rookies at that time. I am so ready to accept them to the group like i did to jungwoo, lucas, hendery(well he my bias) dejun, yang2, shotaro & sungchan. For the last unit, omg! Yushi already got me also Riku i will cry if he not on the debut line. Still thank you for this reaction, don’t feel pressure to do this, if u need rest, then rest. Health 1st. You got this!

I understand people being upset over Sungchan and Shotaro..especially for em it’s been trying to get over what happened to Lucas. But I am here to support these boys with everything in me. They deserve happiness…and sungchan and shotaro are where they are meant to be. Riize is already doing amazing. #fighting! Ps. Sion gives of major leader vibes! And Anderson owns my hearts 🖤

I was so surprised about their feedback about Minjae. Like he was sooo great during the performance! He had facial expressions too like at the start with his stare😳 I’m scared bc I’m soo attached to the trainees already😭

Honestly, I've been typing a lot to comment, but any words seem wrong somehow so I could relate to you not knowing the words to say. All I can say is, thank you for being the safe space for us nctzens, Caitlin. Let's keep supporting the boys in any way we can and stay happy doing it. love u Caitlin <3

I think what I don't understand about the ranking is how daeyoung can be 4th if minjae is 10th they both had similar feedback tbh, and it seems minjae is a better vocalist in general and dancer since daeyoung has a short training period. It is probably the high standard they hold minjae to, but they really showed us no reason for him to be 10th, especially when daeyoung is ranked 4th, like if minjae was 6th sure, but 10th is insane. I also wish for 90s love they seperated the two and one of them did boss instead, so we could see daeyoung and jungmin together to see the vocal dynamic.

As someone who has been a fan of SM groups since 2007, the panel they had today with 1st/2nd/3rd generation idols was really awesome. I totally agree with you that the negativity within the fandom is ridiculous. I honestly just try to tune it out. Obviously, I was heartbroken over some of the decisions made. But at the end of the day, NCT is my Ult group and I am going to support them because I enjoy them so much. I am ready to welcome the new trainees. Sion and Yushi are already so polished. I have my eye on Riku and Daeyoung. Super talented. Very excited but also nervous for the last episode(s).

I think SM just does not know how to properly manage large groups. Like if the boy group is under SM and has more than 5 members then I expect SM to screw up. This has been happening for nearly 2 decades. SuJu had 15 members (yeah I count Zhoumi and Henry as members not just as SJ-M). SM could not properly work on things for their members so we lost members, Eunhyuk, Donghae and Kyuhyun have just left SM as of a month ago. They're still working with SM for SuJu activities but Kyuhyun has been overworked, D&E have not gotten as often of music or solo as they wanted and Actor-Donghae has been locked in a dungeon till this year. A few years after SuJu, SM messed up with their treatment of EXO and we lost Tao and LuHan, this year we damn near lost CBX as well. And honestly, SNSD falls into this too. We barely see most of the members except Taeyeon, YoonA and Sooyoung. Occasionally we see Hyoyeon like in this show and her recent solo. On a lighter note, this episode was a lot of fun. Its been a hot minute since I saw Leeteuk in anything variety so I forgot all about his hosting disease LOL Eunhyuk and Boa being like "ok we're going to need you to stop talking". Minjae was robbed lol like how I get he needs more work on his gestures but he did such a good job with such a difficult song. Daeyoung had me shook with the rap. Even though not all of them will debut with NCT, I really wish the best for all of the team members. You can see clearly that each one loves this and wants to do well. Rooting for them all <3

WARNING: JUST A PREDICTION BUT (POSSIBLE SPOILER IDK) Soo... this started from last episode, i've had this inkling feeling in my mind about their final member lineup number being 6. All the main NCT units are composed of odd numbered members (even Way V prior to Lucas' exit), so I can't hide this feeling of them adding one more member making it 7 so that their formations are balanced meaning no one is directly behind someone or the wings would be uneven and balancing the vocal and rap line. I'm just saying specially on the trailer when it said they had an "emergency" meeting. Regardless if it's 6 i'm good but if they end up with 7 i'll be happier since one more gets to debut. :) ABOUT ADDING A NEW UNIT TO NCT I try to understand why some are against the fact a new unit to NCT is being added and to some extent I understand, however since I've been a fan of them from basically since they were born and I watched their announcement press con I already new they'd be adding multiple units (I honestly even thought they'd be as many as AKB 48). So although I understand the frustration, NCTzens (some) please don't take it out on the boys specially these trainees. Think of it this way, adding this last unit gives Haechan and Mark to rest in between promotions in 127 and dream. Lastly, I know all of NCT are already excited to have new members on the whole of NCT and if they are excited shouldn't we be too?? I hope fans in general will be more welcoming of new groups and group stans should be embracing of new members specially NCTzens. NEO got ur back right? So this new unit should feel that we got their backs as well.

Aw Caitlin, I don’t really know what to say in reply to your final thoughts except to agree that it’s been rough. I’ll be the first to admit that I only started watching this show to see some of my faves like Taemin act as mentors, but despite myself I’ve grown attached to some of the trainees. I feel awful that they’re heading into a fandom that has a huge No Entry sign written on the door. I’ll just have to hope that their extensive predebut Japanese threatre tour will allow them to feel supported until some other NCTzens come around. For Minjae, I did wonder if they pushed him to ten to try and shock him into doing much better next week? If the judges are saying that Daeyoung is showing similar dance levels to Minjae, who’s trained for one year and seven months longer than Daeyoung, maybe they felt justified? I don’t know, it’s a bit weird to me still too. Since I watched first on my own my face was like this 😬 when you started getting exited for the judges to praise him after Why.

i truly deeply feel bad already for this new unit because i just know fans are gonna stay mad at decisions that have absolutely nothing to do with these boys 😭 REGARDLESS i'm very excited now, and like you said, i can kind of already see that final line-up with the latest photo benefit group with jungmin, anderson, riku, and daeyoung. i think i agree, riku's like all but confirmed in my eyes since 1) he's japanese and 2) arguably one of the more well-rounded trainees among this batch! other than him, i'm rooting mostly now for daeyoung like the guy stole my HEART this episode?? the vocals?? the out of nowhere RAP???? ace in the making, i hope he makes it in 😭 with that said, a third spot will likely have to be jungmin since he's incredible and consistent, but just logistically (?) that's 3 korean members in sion, jungmin, and daeyoung, so i imagine that final spot will have to be another japanese trainee, but i can also see it where anderson clinches that spot as a global trainee? AAAAA same as you though my heart's gonna hurt regardless of who makes it 🥲

If Minjae can pull off that type of highnotes I don't care if his dance right now is unpolished he needs to debut. Dance can get better with experience, his vocal talent is not easy to find.

Honestly it doesn't make sense to me they had similar feedback and minjae is the better vocalist, they showed us nothing to clarify his rank, it feels like they just don't want him to debut honestly, when i wouldn't even say daeyoung is good enough to replace him either. Even with 90s love they paired them together again, like it'd have been nice to see daeyoung w jungmin.

Thank you for reacting. I feel like I'm the only that's not on the Jungmin, Anderson hype train that everyone is on. Alot of people love them & I get the appeal theirs been comparisons to Haechan & Mark. I'm hoping this isn't a spoiler for you Caitlian but yeah theirs been other reactors & fans who say Jungmin is similar to Haechan not only by voice but the personality too. That's who Boa was referring to when they told Haechan theirs someone who is similar to him which is Jungmin. My top three has always been Riku, Minjae, Sakkuya, & the 4th can't decide between Ryo & Ryu but now I love Daeyoung as a 4th choice too. I just love Riku alot already he's rapping is soo good & different. The way he helps Sion when he's busy with the other team & I've noticed they seem close I think their the same age & most of the members calls Sion hyung so they might be the oldest but I can't remember. With Minjae I guess it's a preference in vocal tone, texture since most people prefer Jungmin & I'm more of a Minjae listener. Sakkuya always stands out to me & I love his expressions & rap. I love both him & Ryo's cute extroverted maknae on top enery they just really remind of the Dreamies when they debuted. Jisung is now bulking up & acting grown so I want to keep some youthfulness in NCT so we can keep getting concepts like Kangaroo for a while longer because I can see that being gone soon. In a perfect world I would love for Riku, Minjae, Sakkuya, Daeyoung, Ryo, Ryu, Anderson, & Jungmin to debut along with Sion & Yushi & be a part of NCT I'm still hoping for last minute change up of adding more then 4 lol that's too little for me especially now thar NCT won't grow anymore.

Im in the same boat as you Caitlin it has been frustrating being in this fandom but I love nct so much so I’m still here. I think people always jump to hate on others so I hope the anger with this unit will go away. I know several ppl were mad about sungtaro being added during nct 2020 but as soon as they were presented I saw everyone love them so I hope the same will be the case for this unit. I’m really looking forward to their debut 💗

I know you haven't gotten a lot into Xikers yet, but Jungmin's looks/personality remind me a lot of Xiker's Jonghoon and I love it so much! He's in my top on this show for sure. I agree Sion looks and acts like such a good leader already, I hope he becomes the leader. Daeyoung is such a classis SM style vocalist I can't wait to hear more from him. Riku for sure has that Neo blood in him. Also I agree when you said you could see that ranking being the final members and it is kind of scary, because I do love Minjae as well (definitely don't think he deserved the ranking he got)

This is my first time really following a competition show (besides kingdom but that was different because those were established groups, not different trainees) and man yeah it's gonna be wild seeing who gets in and who doesn't. There are a few I feel like could benefit from more time but still it might not end up being who I think lol. It is wild that the show is short but it's better than dragging it out and stressing everyone out I I think haha. In general very excited to see the performances and what they all have to say.

After this series I've been attached to Minjae (knowing my ult in nct is Jaemin this actually hurts me more) I really want him to debut. My lineup consist of Jungmin, Riku, Minjae, Daeyong/ Anderson (if 5 trainees either Sakuya or Ryo for me they're too precious)

Sometimes I don't understand some of the fans, yes we upset about Sungtaro but to not support the new group is just wrong. the rest of NCT's members support this new team, the fans should not spoil it up. p/s: maybe I'm an old fan. Been there from JYJ out from TVXQ to Sungtaro out from NCT. Just support all the groups, you and them will be okay.

Late for this, but Why is such an epic song, i just think it shouldn't have been paored with Electric Kiss, i'm an eri so this is not hate, EK is a great song but i just hoped they paired it with a more dramatic exo song, Mama would've been a good pair with Why, Why just felt more epic perf wise because the song itself is dramatic. But maybe because A team only have 1 main vocal so i guess that's why went for EK.
