Definitely was surprised how good this was, considering I had no expectations going into it. IMO this ended up being the strongest animated film of 2022. Without going into spoilers, this film had a GREAT villain (surprisingly terrifying). Every time there was a 🐺 whistle, I got anxiety right along with Puss. I also appreciated how many Latin/Hispanic actors were included in the voice cast and the use of Spanish throughout the film. Of course my friends and I had a good laugh when they were trying to name Perrito at the end (“I got it, I got it….how about ‘Jeff’?” 😂)

Yes please watch shrek 2, imo the best shrek movie out of the lot and the soundtrack is so hype and perfect. Another opinion of mine is that Death (the wolf) is by far the scariest and chilling dreamworks villain, everything about him is perfect and that whistle is sooo spine-chilling to hear and that line "I'm death.. straight up." Oh my god

Yooooo, wanna big hit animated classic? Try any of the studio ghibli movies. I recommend Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke

I really enjoyed this. Felt almost Pixar in nature with some of the deeper messages. Animation felt similar to Arcane like you said. Interesting how different animation styles can make things feel really good even when it's technically "worse" in terms of FPS or crispness or whatever else. Perrito MVP. Animals in these animated movies always just make them so good I swear

Yeah but it's actually terrible because they didn't acknowledge the obvious importance of 9/11 to the culture of this animated cat. ... For anyone confused, this is a meme. I have to say that, because the meme itself is based on someone actually having this idiotic complaint.

Definitely recommend Shrek 2. Also another movie with great animation that is similar is The Bad Guys from Dreamworks
