It also means this genuinely feels like a "different" kind of Rock performance. Credit where it's due, he's not just doing his usual snarky style he uses as Hobbes and whatnot. He's genuinely trying to give a different type of performance. And I like it. Problem is the film around him feels like it was a rejected Smallville episode that somehow got turned into a movie.

As a DC fan, I don’t mind if the studio goes in another creative direction regarding these films. With the exception of The Batman, it’s apparent how far these films have fallen 😔🥲

I agree with most of what you said, but I really did like the monotone feel he had, you have to remember hes just kinda dead inside because his family was murdered and it was 5000 years ago, he was a slave. All of these factors made him being that way feel quite natural to me. Everything else besides the Rock and Dr. Fate was pretty god Awful.

i know you said this is the end for DC but peacemaker was amazing id love for you to watch it. If not Plant of apes seems like the next trilogy to watch which is also awesome
