I remember when I saw this in the theater, there was a young dad with two kids who must have been, like... 9 or 10? He spent the first 45 minutes covering both of their eyes before finally giving up and realizing they should really just leave. It was kind of hilarious, honestly.

Ferrell and Reilly are amazing (and so are Adam Scott and Kathryn Hahn, etc), but man, Richard Jenkins just absolutely steals this movie for me. "Rock the fuck outta those drums, Dale!"

Not my favourite style of comedy movies I think. Still enjoyed it though. I haven't watched that many Will Ferrell movies and such but does seem like there is a lot of comedy movie actors that get in each other's movies a lot. Since I watched Modern Family recently was funny that the corporate guy in this was the real estate guy in Modern Family, felt quite similar. Biggest laugh for me had to be at the end there with the "Boats and Hoes" during the performance, tickled me.

If you're still looking for a comedy film and a christmas movie, Spirited with Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell would be a great option I feel like. Such a great duo of humour, a musical comedy.
