Definitely not as fun as the first 2 and it's a shame there is not more powers than I would like. Family vibes!

Let me know what you guys thought of these!

personally i've just enjoyed getting to know not only about kamala and her family but also pakistani culture and history

also, to answer your questions as to why the episodes are so different from each other, there were 2 directors who only directed the first 2 episodes, another director who only directed the 3rd episode, and another director who directed the last 3 episodes. i don't know why they did that, but i agree with you that there's an obvious change in the episodes, which i believe is the directing style.

To be fair, a lot of Disney+ shows have swapped directors per episode which I think hurts them overall story because of inconsistencies in style and tone like this

i agree. i think wandavision, tfatws and loki where the only ones to have one director for the entire season and you can't tell. they're so stylistically sharp and for the most part manage to make the story flow smoothly

i can understand where your coming from and you're entitled to your own opinions but i personally believe this show has really done a great job at introducing pakistani culture to wide audience while also introducing a new character. i can't speak for others but i knew nothing about the partition and was shocked to learn about it. i do hope you check out the last two episodes if only to make sure you're up to date for when kamala shows up in the marvels next year. also as far as ratings, ms marvel has the highest rotten tomatoes score out of the entire MCU with 98% :)

It is very boring with low budget isolated series Worst action fight scenes and story development. The fact that it has heartbreaking historical event it does not mean it's good.

I feel like this was a series that was meant to introduce the character and her background as it will likely have some importance. I've been really enjoying the series myself! I defo get where you are coming from but all the series we've seen so far, have been with characters that have been developed on the big screen. (Wanda, Loki, Winter Soldier/White Wolf & The Falcon/Captain America). The exception is Moon Knight but I feel like Moon Knight probably had a better balance of culture to hero stuff, purely because the hero was pretty unbalanced and that was the main tension. Here in Ms Marvel, the main tension is her not feeling like she's up to being a superhero despite loving the world of superheroes and to explore her culture so she understands more where she comes from and I assume, find the strength to believe in herself to be the hero she's meant to be. That's how I've been viewing it. The one thing that's confused me so far is...Bruno, I don't know what the plan is for him. Seems like a bit of a mismatch to introduce him and "never see him again" (considering the Caltech drop that is). I think they definitely spent a chunk of the budget on the first two episodes, because they needed to hook the fans and hope that the representation and history would weave in fairly well. I think the issue is likely the balance between history, culture and power usage from Kamala. I do wish we saw more of it, so either the final two episodes are going to be jam packed or there are other plans for her? Unsure, but I've personally quite enjoyed it. I learned a lot more about the Partition and Pakistani culture in this series than I ever did in History in school lol. REALLY hoping you check out the last two episodes!!

I think education is a great part of the show! And I definitely think it's the strongest part of the show. But I think the show is falling off not because of its educational aspect, but because the writing as a show that's part of the greater MCU storyline is pretty weak. And yes, while the show does have an amazing critic score of 98% because critics do love cultural representation done right, the audience score is at 81% which is currently the lowest audience score for any MCU show so far. And this alerts Disney because the audience is where they make their money. 81% is still pretty good for a show, but even Hawkeye viewership was higher which says a lot. My impression is that the show tried to do too much in this short season. They essentially are trying to do the entire initial run of Ms. Marvel's storyline in a single, very short season. With the added aspect of adding cultural background for the viewers, this leaves little time to flush out how the Ms. Marvel story fits into the greater MCU lore. And that's really what keeps people watching. I love what the show is attempting to do. But I think they should have planned it over 2 seasons instead of one. It's feeling quite rushed.

I really liked the first two episodes, I don't think the rest is bad but it hasn't been amazing. I still think Kamala is a fun and charming character, but this show as a whole is so far the weakest one for me. I don't think it's as bad as you think, but we're all entitled to our opinions.

It's sad... i had to stop watching the reaction because it was so negative lol. I think if you watch it without any expectations, you may enjoy it more. I love all the cultural history they are showing and really enjoy it! Maybe not for everyone as you said. xoxo <3

I, personally, loved this show. I think a lot of the things you aren't liking about it, the things you view as filler and down time, is actually character development. She just turned 16 and has led a pretty sheltered life and all of a sudden she has these powers that she's trying to figure out while navigating the world of a 16 year old girl in a country that, unfortunately, views her as an other. In most, if not all, of the other MCU stuff, the heroes either already have come to terms with their powers or are grown adults who have already found themselves enough to be able to deal with the new found power. The scenes in the mosque, the wedding stuff, and her visiting Pakistan flesh out her background, her culture, and the cultural pressures and prejudices she faces. The "cringy" scenes with her crushing on Kamran and with her on the beach shows her grappling with the fact that she's 16 and trying to just be a kid, that's standard teen movie stuff. Also, we rarely, if ever, see a well functioning family unit in Marvel. This show has done a wonderful job of setting up Kamala to have her family, and her community, behind her, potentially making her a stronger hero. I honestly think that they do a much better job of securing her in the MCU than they did with Moon Knight, of course that may only be my take because I thought that show was boring and all over the place. I encourage you to watch the last 2 episodes, especially since they seem to set up some future Marvel stuff. But to each their own...

Same here, I loved the show, it shows a lot of culture. I've said this when I watched the reaction to Morbius too, I feel like Seb had a prenotion about the show that he cannot shake so he's looking at it from a perspective he wouldn't have if he didn't have that prenotion. Now Morbius definitely wasn't as good as this show is, but still better than Seb portrayed it to be.

I really hope you finish this show. Contrary to what a few negative complainers say about some of the Disney+ Marvel shows not being relevant, they all actually are, they lead into future MCU content.
