Darcy was just joking around that their friends interrupting them was homophobia lol.

I suddenly get the joke now 😂 I also felt confused at that part when just watching

I'm so glad you said that you're obsessed with these actors! They remind me of how precious all the kids from Stranger Things are, too. They must all be protected at all cost!

I came out at 16 years old, which I'm just now realizing is half my lifetime ago - crazy! Anyway, I was dating a girl for a short time when I was 15 - I was fairly sure I was gay, but questioned whether I might be bi, so I kind of tried it out, and yeah, I am gay as I realized, so we obviosuly broke up - I actually didn't tell her I was gay or even questioning, but it was a very undramatic break up. Cut to about six months later, I'd come out and was dating my first boyfriend, and once when we were walking around in downtown Copenhagen, we randomly bumped into her, and I told her that this was my boyfriend, and she had actually helped me realize I was gay - funnily enough, she was with her girlfriend, and she said the exact same thing to me xD Kind of similar to Nick/Tara xD

About the door thing, Tara told Darcy earlier in the episode to be careful about it, since it's broken and won't open from the inside. While the "Homophobia!" thing is a joke about the fact that their friends are interrupting them kissing and being gay.

maybe it would sound shocking to call the slightest inconveniences homophobic but i always say it as jokes to friends. especially my straight friends just to see the look on their faces haha - also i think at that age everything is about status and trying to be the popular kid or fit in, so imagine having all of that pressure on top of figuring out your sexuality where it could be seen as a positive or a negative from people around you. it’s tough

I was taken out of the closet by a person who was considered to be my best friend. We had a similar situation with Charlie and Nick, we were dating, but keeping it a secret. One day he couldn't keep it in anymore, and instead of being honest, he told the entire school that was in love with him and was a creep who kept sending love notes. That was in my Junior year of high school, from there on nobody was ever the same. I lost all my friends and people barely talked to me until school ended. Not to sound old, but that was at the beginning of social media, so there wasn't much bullying there, but oh boy nobody wasn't afraid to say stuff to my face. I'm glad today we have media like this.

Hate that that happened to you ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🌈

Dude, that's fucking awful, I'm so sorry. I hope things got better for you eventually and that you made real friends at some point.

New to your Patreon after loving your YouTube Channel, love your videos! I binged this series in one Sunday arvo/evening! So heartwarming and wholesome entertainment, amazing to see some lgbt+ stories where it’s not always doom and gloom or heartbreaking. We need more positive lgbt+ representation. Sticking on theme have you considered doing a watch of RuPauls Drag race? If you have already watched it that is. If not, I’d suggest jumping in at season 4, 5, or 6! Would love to see your reaction and thoughts. Keep up the amazing work!

Wait, you don't know Pride (2014)? You're British, you HAVE to watch it! It tells an amazing bit of British history that will blow your mind, in a funny AND dramatic way. You will not regret watching it, I promise.

Love "Pride"! The Bread and Roses scene makes me emotional every time.

Yeah I think that most people realize or at least begin the journey to accept it at a later age. I had my first girl crush when I was 12 and it went on from there. By the time I was about 15 or 16 I was pretty sure of my sexuality but I've always had a "Don't care about your opinion" kind of attitude. So I was never really in the closet because I didn't ever make a point to hide anything. People just always kind of knew with me and I didn't give a damn if anyone had a problem with it, so that was it. Lol
