finally caught up and can’t wait to watch this. im intrigued by the darker elements of this show so i looked up who worked on this and it’s jeremy slater.. who worked on the exorcist and death note movie. kinda shocked considering it’s airing on disney haha but i’m liking this show more than i thought i would

Random thoughts of this episode: * There is something inherently badass about lighting a flare in the dark lol *Even though there is a teased third personality, idk if Marc and Steven are ready to meet it yet. They are being pretty ominous about the reveal. *Idk how they’re going to wrap this up in two episodes. *As I am reading one of the comic runs rn, I will neither confirm nor deny what is comics accurate in this episode 🤐

This was the best episode yet I think. Had the adventure and the psychological weirdness. I felt kinda good that I guessed it was Alexander the Great even with my limited history knowledge. I do love ancient history though, just don't know that much. Maybe if I knew more I would know what the hippo god was lol. The end stuff has to be in his mind surely, nothing else makes sense. There were so many indications to his past in there, even some of the people and staff were people we have seen before. I wonder if when Marc/Steven fell down in the water that maybe they came across another god statue that they somehow awakened, hippos do love water lol. I feel like we got a lot more character to Layla and Steven. Most of what we have seen from Steven has been crisis mode so far so was good to seem him in more calm times as much as they can be calm lol. Really good and excited to see the final episodes and where it takes us. I think Steven at least has now proven how clever he is so I could see that being his role in the grander scheme of the MCU, particularly now we have lost Iron Man and not sure how much of a part the Hulk will play in things.

I love that around the episode 4 mark Marvel definitely turns things on it's head and makes you question what the fuuuuck is going on - keeps things interesting 😊

pps they defs filmed in the desert - I saw an interview of Oscar saying it was the same place they filmed Star Wars TROS and Dune :)

If you don't know much about Egyptian Mythology, that Hippo lady was Taweret, Goddess of Fertility, Childbirth, Rejuvenation, and Rebirth, which we saw in an earlier episode was imprisoned in a stone statue, like Khonshu is now. Let your theories start flowing.

Always the same predictable endings...our heros get saved by a talking hippo god...I mean who among us has NOT dressed up as a talking hippo god for fun at least once? My theory is that Stephen & Mark get saved by a talking hippo god who turns out to be a fabulous drag queen. 💃 #HippoGodCosPlay4NextEpisode

I think Disney and Marvel are starting to use ILM's The Volume in more productions after the success with The Mandalorian, but not sure if it's being used for Moon Knight. Search for "ILM StageCraft LED services" for more info or watch s01:e04 of The Gallery (making of The Mandalorian).

Glad you had a great break. I am surprised at how much i a truly loving this series since i know nothing about the comics. Or maybe it helped that i didn't have any expectations lol

As a fan of the comics, the last 10 minutes in the hospital had me absolutely excited. A whole single parallel to the 'Welcome to new egypt' comic run, I wont spoil what it meant in the comics but I cant wait to see what they do in the next episodes.
