Well what an end to the first season! I talk more about what we are doing with Patreon exclusive shows in the outro of this video and would love to hear if you guys want the next season or something different!

I'd rather you react to other stuff for a while and return to this one later, but not a long time later. But I'll take whatever you end up doing. If 2 episodes is too much and 1 is too few, would doing 1 episode of this and a shorter episode of another show per week make sense to you? Or do you not like mixing it up?

Because Will was one of my favorite characters this season, my heart sank when he saw Whispers. I know that drugging him is only a temporary solution, but I’m sure the cluster will try to find a way to help him (after all he did for multiple characters this season). Other favorites include Lito/Hernando and Nomi/Amanita (I think of them more as ships than singular characters 😂) I understand scheduling-wise, why you’d want to take a break. The episodes are longer than most shows we’ve been watching, and the seasons are longer as well. However, from a viewing perspective, because there are so many characters and so many different arcs going on, I think it would be hard to get back into it after an extended break (I know this because I took only a couple of weeks off from this for the holidays and with even just that I had to reacclimate to get back into it. So as much as I’d want you to start other shows that I’d know you’d enjoy, I’m in favor of finishing off (pun intended lol) Season 2.

This has been amazing to re-watch one of my favorites and see someone else's reaction for the first time. I'd personally love to see Season 2 on here as well. We have to finish our journey with the sensates together. :D

The final shot with them all on the boat always gets to me, it was a great ending to that season. A lot of the plots you said hadn't gone anywhere they do continue into S2 so I don't think there is any major loose ends that I can remember. I think my favourite characters were Wolfgang and Nomi but I love all of them. The relationships with the others outside the cluster are so great as well. I do love this show, it sticks with me even though the story might not be the best ever or what not. I think the show just emits certain emotions that stay with me because of the characters and interpretations you make of the idea of sensates and how it relates to the real world and ourselves. As for whether to see S2 I think it's pretty obvious most people in these comments will want S2 lol. I think it might be good though to leave space in between seasons so other shows get a look in and maybe will make the very much longer shows viable as a pick rather than committing to large portions of a year to only one show at a time. I think a lot of the shows will be closer to an hour an episode though if they are streaming site originals like Netflix or Amazon. Umbrella Academy that was a close 2nd in the poll is basically hour long episodes and 10 episodes per season (2 seasons so far, 3rd coming this year). I don't know if you would want to sit through as much in one go, but could maybe do 3 episodes per fortnight or do alternating 1ep then 2ep per week, for when they are slightly longer episodes.

Do season 2! It really takes off now that all the introductions are done. Take an extra week or two if you need to for the long ones but its well worth watching

I think you could go straight to season 2 because it's just one more season. Next season is so much better because they already know what's going on with them, the sensete idea is more explored, and we meet some new interesting characters. Sun and Wolfgang are my favorites.

Yup. In fact, I do believe there are scientific studies specifically about separation anxiety from Lito. (No need for anyone to Google it, just take my word for it)

I hope you continue season 2 soon even if it is 1 episode a week but i do not want you to feel pressured. As long as you enjoy the show i will patiently wait lol. Lito scenes never fail to make me smile.

I would love it if you switched to Umbrella Academy maybe for a season, (since it basically tied with Sense8) and then go back to Sense8 afterwards? Then alternate back to Umbrella Academy again?

I don't know if it's been commented somewhere else, but I love this show for how it really embraced diversity. Like you said, it's not so much focused on the core plot of Whispers, but on the relationships and similarities between people who live vastly different lives. That's why there's so many scenes focused on the cluster talking and connecting to one another's problems and struggles. Honestly, the sci-fi element feels almost secondary and is just there as an excuse to justify a story about PEOPLE. The production process for the show is also really cool to look into. All the shots where the camera would pan and then somebody new would show up was done practically. There's so much behind the scenes footage of people ducking around the camera and rolling on the ground, it's awesome. I'm pretty sure they also shot the show based on each person's storyline and traveled to each individual country as a group one at a time. Like they did all of Wolfgang's stuff in Germany at once and then all of Lito's stuff in Mexico at once and so on. Figuring out the continuity of what people were wearing and where everyone is in their storyline when they were visiting must have been insane. I watched this show back in like 2016, so it's been a genuine joy revisiting it. Thanks!

What a tense and emotional finale to season 1. Just superb. It was great to see you so hype and on edge during Riley's rescue scenes... Clearly you've come to care about these characters as much as the rest of us have. I love all of them, but my absolute faves have to be Lito and Nomi. Of course I'd love to see you continue onto season 2, as soon as you're able to make time for it 😁

Lito will always and forever be my favorite sensate. as for Wolfgang's father: trust Wolfy, he is a monster and you will find out why. I agree with you in that Kala should have been utilized more but I think they make up for that in season 2. also, please go straight into season 2 because I am chomping at the bit to see you continue on with these wonderful characters and this amazing story. ❤️

I agree with everyone here that jumping into season 2 would be great now that the character development and plot(s) have been established. Also getting right into the next season soon would help you to recall all of the many details explained in season one. An actor for one of the characters is switched out which was disappointing because I loved that actor in their role. I won't say who, but curious what you'll have to say about that change.

I think the reason for such a feeling of disparity in everyone's stories is because they all start out in different movies. Sun is in a marital arts movie, Lito is in a telenovela more or less. Riley is from a European indie film, and Kala is from a Bollywood Romance. Wolfgang starts out in a heist movie, Nomi is in a hacker/conspiracy film, Capheus Is kind of in an inspirational action movie, and Will starts out in a gritty cop drama. Then all their movies start bumping into each other as their connections grow, and their stories start combining bits from the others. They develop from basic stereotypes into people we love, and cannot live without (Lito). The overwhelming feeling I had after watching this first season was how much I wanted and was jealous of the human intimacy they shared with each other. So glad to have been able to see you see it. Looking forward to moving with you into season 2!
