YESS LETS GOO IM SO READY

Michael

Hell yes!! Been waiting. Only commenting now I have started. Something you will probably say/notice "Civil war" is an avengers level film, but was made a captain america film because of the type of story in it, about relationships.

Anonymous

yes we all thought we were about to watch a captain america movie and then realized it was an avengers one hahah its one of my favourites for sure we're introduced to Spiderman and black panther, Zemo is a great villain and i also love that they made it in a way that you can understand both sides. But man that scene where Tony watches his parents getting killed is heartbreaking and the fact that Cap knew... the line "i don't care he killed my mum" broke me.

DaftMikey

YESSS & great reaction as always! Can't wait to see more of the content!

William

Ah, Zemo. Easily among the MCU's best villains. Hard to not love the guy.

Michael

I love all the marvel films for different reasons, I guess that's what makes it so great. Captain America is always the best "raw" action, Ant man is humour, Spiderman is amazing for humour (Tom holland crush myself).

Princess Mia

wandas age is like an mcu mystery, but i think in civil war and ultron shes supposed to be like 17/18 which is weird because she never really seems like a teenager

I'm new to Marvel and this film was interesting because of the premise of the conflict. But the film that for me has been most impactful is Winter Soldier. That movie felt tighter, the wow moments were more, well, wow. But this film was still terrific. It was great to see other characters coming in. I got a bit lost in the airport fighting because I was losing track of which character was on which side. As fellow patron Kaly said in her comment, the movie presented the conflict in a way that you can see both sides. But it also left me wanting more exploration of that conflict. A confession, I watched the film yesterday for the first time. As I watched it today with Seb, I couldn't remember how it ended. Weird. Finally, please no spoilers, but it would be interesting to see if they further address that conflict. At the end of the day, Cap America et al are, mostly, human. Humans can be well-intended but make poor decisions. And when you have that much power, well, we can see where that goes. Cheers everyone and thanks Seb for your fun reaction.

This used to be my least favorite MCU movie, but watching it again made me appreciate it a lot more

Luckily robert downey jr was an actor when he was young so de-aging him probably wasn’t as difficult as it might have been for another actor.

Mate, before you get into Spiderman, you need to see Spider-Man. Toby was the Best Spider-Man

Kayla

Your reactions are the highlight of my weeks right now, just sayi'n. I can't believe you haven't been spoiled for anything. That's quite a feat. You deserve a medal or something. I love when guys can admit "man-crushes". You're secure in your masculinity enough to admit it and that's great. This is definitely in my top three, for sure.

Tori Jeri

This is definitely my favorite marvel film out of all of them. I think I love the fact that they don’t really win in the end. Everyone’s bruised physically and emotionally and it brings that realism. That or I just like getting hurt idk.

Tori Jeri

Also Watching this on the anniversary of Chadwick Bozeman’s death is so surreal. He’s truly such an amazing part of marvel and to see his introduction again just reminds me how amazing he was.

Great reaction! If you’re looking for other movies to starts highly recommend the Spider-Man movies and the X-Men moves as well. the Hunger Games is another good one.

Do you remember when Cap went to save Bucky in The First Avenger? Bucky was getting super serum, just like Cap did. Cap unhooked him and dragged him out. He is almost as strong as Cap, and that metal arm is his shield. Superserum makes humans realize their peak — peak physicality for a human but it also enhances their personalities. So, that’s why Steve was seen as an ideal candidate since he had the heart. And that just got enhanced. But if someone is an asshole, that will also get enhanced. Bucky wasn’t exactly an asshole, but he wasn’t pure like Steve.

Tori, that is a great way to put it. Nobody really wins in the end. I'll be looking to see how they continue that part of their story.

I love this movie so much, but it's just like watching Mummy and Daddy fighting. It's almost hard to watch, but it also has Tom Holland in it, aka my future husband so it automatically ranks as 10/10

I'm so glad you're enjoying the MCU so much. They're some of my favorite films, especially the Captain America movies. "Civil War" is definitely up there, but I think "Winter Soldier" still edges it out for me. I'm so excited for you to see what happens over the next several films. You've quickly become one of my favorite film reactors; it's a pleasure watching you. Haha especially when you fanboy over Chris Evans lol. Looking forward to your reaction to Doctor Strange!

SebScreen

Love to hear that Kayla :) and yeah it is amazing no spoilers. Lets hope I can keep that up

Hi - this is my first time on Patreon. Why is the Civil War image not showing clearly, but sorta blurred? Am I supposed to have the movie myself and watch along that way?

SebScreen

Yes, it does say on the tier description. I cant put the whole movie as of copyright sadly but the film is there blurred to make sure you are in sync with the movie :)

I loved this reaction. Winter Soldier and Civil War are my favorites, followed by Infinity War and Endgame, then the two Tom Holland Spider-Mans. Looking forward to your reaction to those. :)

I cannot possibly express how much your love for Cap and Bucky make my heart soar lol ... the comments about Bucky especially in this give me life. And that comment about Elizabeth Olsen, you ain't wrong! She is fine as hell. I was super looking forward to this one and love how hype it made you. Proportionate response. Cannot wait for the coming reactions.

FatLittleButterfly

well technically the good/bad sides are pretty gray in this case which is what makes the movie great

The Tony bashing in this movie is infuriating. He had nothing to do with creating the Sakovia Accords and was not the only one of the Avengers who agreed it was a good idea, yet Steve acted like the entire things was Tony's idea and that he was forcing the rest of the team to sign. Tony felt guilty about the events of Ultron, and everyone else continued tohold that over his head, yet the events in Lagos which were even more directly Wanda's fault Steve tried to protect her feelings from that. Steve knowingly broke the law to defend Bucky in Bucharest and then Steve split the team in Germany, not Tony. Then there is the last fight scene, I feel Tony is completely justified in wanting to kill Bucky after seeing Bucky murder his parents. I get Steve wanting to keep Bucky alive, but he didn't even seem to have any concern for Tony's heartbreak, he only seemed concerned that Tony would attack Bucky. But the main thing that makes me mad is Steve's hypocrisy: in The Winter Soldier he acted all high and mighty (like always) when he got angry with Nick Fury after finding out Bucky was alive and insinuated that even if Nick new Bucky was alive he wouldn't have told Steve (though, as the director of a spy organization Nick would not have been obligated to tell his subordinate no matter how entitled he felt to that info), yet Steve knew that Tony's parents did not die in a car accident but were murdered, and had his suspicions that Bucky was the one who carried out the hit, yet for all his wining about honesty and transparency, decided that he didn't need to tell Tony this.
