Hey guys!

From time to time I get some new Patrons. And from time to time I get some Patrons drop out without a word. It's especially disorienting, becasue most do so without a word or witrhout ever commenting on any of my submissions.

Please, please, please. I want to improve and  I can't do so without your feedback!

Whenever I get a Patron drop out, I never get any message from them. I don't know if they drop out, simply casue they don't have time to look through my files, or they need to lower their expenses or if there was something wrong, if they were unsatisfied, or maybe it wasn't what they wanted or expected.

Please, whenever you decide to quit being my Patron, shoot me a short feedback note. I won't have any hard feelings, I promise. I really want to improve and I want to encourage people to be active here. And if I only get positive feedback (comments and likes that are lovely) I will never know what's wrong. Because you see things, I cannot, as the creator.

This site, of all the others, is the site that I can dedicate most time to, that I can quarantee I will engage in dialogue and take my time to solve issues. Because this way, I can earn a living and it's important for me to make it great!

So please, don't be a stranger. Post your feedback. What you like, but also what you don't like. I want to fix it and I will do the best I can in my given circumstance to make this work so that we can all be happy! :)

What do you want more of? What do you think is an overextent on my part? Do you prefer that I post full artworks, do you actually want speedpaints from me? (It takes much effort to do these, so I don't always do them for all artworks) Do you want to see more sketches? Do you want to see my process or just focus on finished pieces? Are tutorials something you'd be excited for? (I am currently working on the one you've voted for!)

PM me your thoughts if you don't want to step forward publically.
Some things I cannot do, of course as I have little time. But I will think on what you have to say and I will try my best to be the creator you want me to be :)

And especially, please tell me what was wrong when you decide to quit being my Patron! It's the most important feedback of all, becasue it was a deal breaker. And I want to make this site a better one :)

Cheers guys!

Today I am working a bit on the comic again so that I can post a few pages before the month ends!

Please know that you aren’t alone in seeing “churn”, which is the term for customers coming and going. I would imagine that it would be better for you to ask at least a couple other patreon artists how many people they’ve been seeing join or leave in the last month or two, and you can compare your numbers to that. I’m not one of those, but having worked for many companies dealing with people on a regular basis, I can say that there is always a level of churn, and it does vary by time of year. Due to the crazy things some states/countries are doing this year, that probably makes it worse. You can only really compare it to others in your niche of work, so that’s why I suggest other artists. I’ve had to explain to several family members that “you’re not going to please everyone all the time.” Which isn’t to say that you shouldn’t do your best, it’s just that not everyone will be happy at one time, or all appreciate the same things to the same degree. There will also be a few who complain no matter what. So don’t think that it’s something isolated to you. It’s also good to reach out for feedback like this now and then, so this is mine. ❤️

My only feedback would be to be a bit more active in discord. There isnt much chatter in there, and some may see it as a wasted perk.

2021-10-01 07:54:06 thanks so much for this! I will try to get there more often to try and stir some chat up! I have however only around an hour or 2 daily when I can get in there T_T My baby became very aware of the phone I carry around me and whenever I look at it or type, he cries super hard and gets very upset. I need to figure a way to get on there to post some stuff! Ill try my best, thanks for this feedback <3

I usually leave Patreons when I need to cut expenses somewhere. I always try to reduce my tier before I cancel outright though. Other peoples' art is a luxury that competes with food, rent, and electricity, so I doubt there's much you could do to prevent that sort of scenario.

In the case where people leave due to financial issues, it's all great :) I just wish I knew when they do that and when they have other reasons, that I might maybe upgrade. I don't usually get a lot of feedback that is negative and it is useful sometimes when it's honest critisizm ^^
