Alright folks, the new month is here! Since were only $7 short of our next big goal, I’ve decided to assume we’ll be smashing through it this month and get to work on fulfilling it!

I’ll be posting the first Patrons’ Prompt for literary suggestion this afternoon, and will be making a poll for our series cover artwork soon! There’s a few ideas that I’ve been kicking around, and I’d like to get your feedback first.

About the covers

Number 1: Is there any specific artist that you folks would like to see do the cover artwork? I’m willing to hear your feedback and work with a number of artist suggestions. If there’s a specific artist you’d love to see do a specific cover, please mention them. If you are an artist and would like to volunteer service, I would be more than happy to communicate with you!

Number 2: Some stories, such as Filling Out the Frontline and Growing Soft, are less traditional in story technique. They’re more akin to Volumes with multiple Arcs. Filling Out the Frontline is about to wrap up the Introduction Arc while Growing Soft is still working on its Year 1 of Marriage arc. In light of this, I think these stories would be better to have multiple covers, like volumes as they go on and on, but I’d like to hear your feedback too.

About Patrons’ Prompts

Number 3: For the Patrons’ Prompt, one idea that has been suggested to me is trying to make one of the two polls a monthly theme. What do you folks think of that? We could do something like Monster-Girl / Mechanized March for one of the prompts, and get a bunch of themed requests for an exclusive story.

The other prompt would still be a free-for all, naturally, and we’d still accept almost all suggestions for voting. I personally think it’s a fun idea, but I’d like to your thoughts, please.

Number 4: Would you folks like me to submit my own suggestion into the pool, or just leave it for the $15+ tiers? The voters will not know who has made what suggestion, this will just increase the number of choices for folks to choose from.

I think that wraps us up for right now! I am absolutely honored to be passing by this milestone with all of you, and would like to extend my extreme thanks! Here’s to even more stories!

Oooooh, this is good to hear! Might have to up my patronage another seven bucks just for things to get going. In any case, to answer your questions: 1. I like having variety, especially with the range of expansions and tones and such, so I'm not gonna suggest one artist over all others (If I haaaaaaaaaaaad to pick one, it'd be Better-than-salt off the top of my head, but again, I'd prefer keeping a variety about). That said, I would recommend trying to get in contact with DJ-Bapho for some fics, especially for non-weight gain... though I can imagine he might be difficult to reach. 2. I agree on doing multiple covers for different arcs, but I'd also would suggest that perhaps it'd be good to prioritize doing covers for series that haven't gotten one before doing additional ones for larger fics. 3. I'm all on board for a monthly prompt with a theme, especially if it means a bit more variety. I know I'm in the minority when it comes to wanting to see more stuff done that is for inflation or berrification or whatnot, but it is a little disheartening that, thus far, ideas that aren't WG haven't won yet. Of course, I know that themes aren't just based on what types of expansion is involved, but it was the most relevent example off the top of me head... and this talk of monthly themes just reminded me of how much I can't wait till Juicy July lol. 4. Certainly, but I'd say it's not a requirement. If an idea seems fun to do and see, feel free to toss it in. Granted, nothing's stopping you from looking at it later on if it doesn't win, so... win win?

1. I can definitely agree to that. So far, our covers have both been done by Better-With-Salt, so I was looking into more suggested artists. I love working with him, and heck he'll probably see this cause he's a patron of mine as well lol but for the sake of variety, I'd like to be looking at others as well 2. Yeah absolutely! There won't be a spamming of them for any one series lol. I also don't write quite fast enough for that anyways bwahahaha 3. I totally get that! We've only had, I think, two literature based prompts so far, and seeing as we'll be doubling that in just this month alone you might have a better shot for them! :) But yeah I think the prompts would definitely be good for that as well 4. It'd be a pleasure to submit ideas along with you guys!

1. Being the person who's done both of your covers so far, I feel a very conflicting mix of "Oh! Oh! Pick me!" and "Man, get somebody else to do it" lol. I can't think of any artist suggestions off the top of my head right now though. 2. This is a neat idea and I think it could really spice things up. I agree with the other person who commented though, prioritize other series first if you can! 3. This could be fun. Lets people decide on an idea, but lets you run wild with it! Kinda like a lot of my polls, rather than it being an outline, it's more of a simple jumping off point. Maybe you could change it up though too if you have any other ideas for the secondary poll. 4. I say go for it! Even if it doesn't win you can still use that information to gauge interest! If it comes in second place by a slim margin, might be worth looking into, and if it gets 1 vote, might be worth dropping lol.

Ok, opinion time Cover art... well, there’s this artist I’m quite partial to. He’s really really good, dunno if you’ve ever heard of him. Goes by Salty most of the time ;3 Other than that, uhm... tbh I am not super sure! There’s you usual suspects like wosda and remram, but - Hmmm I can look over my bookmarks to see if there’s any good chonky art boyes who’d be a good fit Also I’d really love to see FOtF volume covers. The more raifu art, the better~ Honestly I’m just a fan of per-arc cover art in general. Like, when a webcomic is published on an, arc-format book with a really detailed cover page, or the splash art on GFL changes for a new event, I’m ALL ABOUT THAT I feel some of your stories might even work with a, fake-50’s-comic-book-cover-art style, heheheh I do like the idea of themed polls - it’d give you a bit more control over what’s being chosen so that you at least have a reasonable general theme to work with. I am a biiiiiit worried if there will be enough suggestions for 2 polls. Your patreon is definitely growing but there’s still not THAT many people, so I’d definitely suggest you add a secret “taker’s choice” option to polls If only to make sure you don’t get stuck with a dum idea because no one suggested anything cool for that poll, heheh

1. Honestly I’d probably be fine with that myself hahaha I love your stuff so much, but variety is the spice of life! I’d love to get some others in on it. 2. Lol this is hardly any worry for me tbh. I’m not going to get Growing Soft Volume 2 cover until it’s at least deep into production, and we’re around 2 real months into their marriage right now. Same with GFL, we’re 15 stories deep and only wrapping up Volume 1. The others will absolutely get their turn, and in the off-time funds will be put towards the voted chapter artwork. 3. I’m glad people seem really interested in the themes! It’ll be a lot of fun, I think. Just want to make sure people are down with it! 4. Oh wow huh I didn’t even think of it like that. Good idea!!

1. Bwahaha so far all three comments have been “Do Salty!” and honestly I’m pretty fine with it lol but I want to know everyone’s opinions and hey, variety is always nice too. I’d appreciate any other suggestions you’ve got though! 2. Yes, excellent. I’m really glad the reception to this idea has been so positive. 3. I like the themed idea as well, it would just create more of a fun mix for suggestions and voters, while the second would maintain the ability to shoot out any wanted idea. 4. Those tier areas actually sort recently exploded. I’m sure you’ll have more than a few to vote on for the next poll!
