“You look really tense,” Rai Kato spoke over the car radio, “which is a little impressive honestly.”

Lilly Satou puckered her chubby cheeks into a partial scowl. She held her eyes shut, as the blind woman always did when she was angry. “If that’s a joke about my weight, then it isn’t a very funny one,” she huffed and turned her nose up into the air.

Rai looked over from the driver’s seat. “What?” she asked. “No, I just never see you tense.”

Lilly’s heat faltered. “Oh… I’m sorry,” she apologized. “I guess it’s sort of on my mind.”

Rai watched Lilly’s hands settle atop of her large tummy. “Why’s that?” Rai asked, trying to sound innocent and not to check out just how fluffy the growing woman had become. Her beige top hugged her curves as if it were a tight sweater, with plenty of cleavage peeking out above the top. Two straps dug into her fleshy shoulders.

Around wide hips, Lilly wore a dark skirt that came down to mid-thigh. She plucked at it, jiggling the pale flesh beneath. “Well, given that I have more than doubled my weight since I’ve last been with Hanako,” Lilly grumbled, “I’m sure it’ll be quite the surprise to her.”

Rai hummed in thought. Lilly had been her coworker for some time now and had mentioned her best friend a number of times. Rai hadn’t considered that the two hadn’t been keeping close contact, and that Hanako might now know that the skinny student had become a thunder thighed teacher. “You just need to get a drink or two in you,” she decided on easing Lilly’s fears. “You look good, I’m sure Hanako will see that.”

Lilly sighed. She plucked at a pair of stockings that were meant to be thigh highs. “Does my outfit look okay?” she asked.

Rai looked over once more. Lilly was reaching up, her fingers clasping a giant green bow she wore in her wavy blonde hair. On her feet were a pair of bright green shoes with golden buckles around her ankles. Rai grimaced at how tight they looked on her swollen ankles.

“You look fine,” Rai shrugged. Then, she playfully poked Lilly’s side. “What about me, how do I look?”

Lilly scowled. After a beat, she muttered, “Too much red.”

“Hey, I’m wearing green!” Rai laughed.

A brief moment of silence followed. Rai double checked her phone, making sure on the GPS they were heading the right direction. The bar was still a few miles off, the only place in Japan that seemed to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day in the traditional way. Getting absolutely plastered. She wondered briefly if this Hanako girl was going to be dressed up too. Lilly had mentioned she was some sort of journalist.

Suddenly, Lilly began to speak again. “And my goofy husband, who is supposed to make me feel better, made a joke that I looked like I ate Lilly Satou…” she pouted, red twinges to her cheeks.

Rai’s eyebrows went to her forehead. “Did he really?” she asked.

Lilly huffed, crossing her arms over her fat chest. They rested upon her round tummy. She didn’t answer, just turned away and faced the window.

“Wow,” Rai grimaced. “Well, if it is any consolation, I do not think you look like that.”

Lilly sighed. Her hands fell to her lap. “Thank you, Rai.”

“Yeah, I mean,” Rai went on, “You’re still wearing the same clothes from before. It’s not like you’ve gone out and gotten a whole new wardrobe. So I’d say you’re all fine, it can’t be that bad.”

Lilly’s face slowly went from aggravated to a shame filled pout. She tucked her chin back and placed her hands back on her belly.

“D-did you?” Rai asked.

“I more than doubled my weight!!” Lilly whined.

******************************************************************************

Rai was still impressed by how much Lilly had on her. The blonde stood at least 6 inches taller than the small redhead, and at nearly three hundred pounds Lilly looked much, much wider. She stood patiently on the passenger side of the vehicle as Rai locked the car before moving over to her side.

Lilly raised a searching arm and Rai place it around hers, guiding her forwards. The sun crawled through the last legs of its orbit, descending down into darkness for the night as neon signs flipped on at the bars entrance and windows. “It doesn’t look like there’s a lot of people here,” Rai informed Lilly.

Lilly hummed. “Is that a good thing or a bad thing?” she asked.

“I dunno,” Rai shrugged. “This is my first time ever going to a place like this.”

“Ahh, I understand,” Lilly nodded. “Hisao and I were invited out to a number of places while we were attending university.”

“Did you ever go?” Rai asked.

Lilly smiled. “We stayed home and got drunk off bottles of wine.”

“Ahhhhhh.” Rai sighed, “True love.”

The chubby woman chuckled.

The girls made their way across the gravel parking lot listening to the music softly emanating from the open windows. There was the sound of a violin mixing with drums.

“It seems they’ve festive music for today,” Lilly commented.

Walking next to Lilly always made Rai feel a little funny. Lilly was fairly large, especially so for the standards that are in Japan. Both tall and overweight, yet graced with pale skin and fine blonde hair, Lilly was commonly mistaken for an American woman. When she held your arm, Lilly’s body always rubbed up against you. Her hips would poke you as she wobbled along, you’d feel her belly rubbing your arm and the slight jiggle of her chunky biceps. It didn’t make Rai uncomfortable, nor was it at all unpleasant. But it was certainly… weird.

A banner hung over the bar’s entrance. Written in dark green was the phrase ‘Saint Patrick’s Day Festival!’ and beneath that, ‘Irish women drink free!’

“Oh wow, they’re giving free drinks for Irish girls,” Rai translated to Lilly.

Lilly had her eyes shut, though she raised her eyebrows signifying her surprise. After a moment she asked, “You’ve red hair, right Rai?”

Rai snorted. “Not that kind of red! And my eyes would give me away.”

Lilly hummed. “How unfortunate.”

“You might be able to get away with it,” Rai said slyly, eyeing her companion.

A tiny laugh emitted from Lilly’s tummy. “If they don’t need to check our ID’s, perhaps. We are still young ladies after all.”

They entered in through the dark wooden door. The establishment was dimly lit, with dark brown wooden walls and matching leather bar stools. The bar itself spanned most of the inside wall but there were a number of high tables with stools. There was a sparse crowd, mostly broken into some obvious groups, but the mood was light and merry, and the alcohol properly flowed.

Rai led Lilly to a nearby table, looking around for Hanako. She’d not much idea what the journalist would look like, only described by her pale skin and dark purple hair. Nobody in the bar fit that description.

She looked back to Lilly, who’d taken her seat yet was awkwardly shuffling back and forth. “These stools seem a little small,” she complained.

Rai looked around Lilly’s back. The seat was completely hidden beneath her flabby hips, only the light metal bar beneath. She looked around the bar again and bared her teeth uncomfortably. All of the other stools seemed to be the same size. “That’s all they have here,” she relayed.

Lilly raised a halting hand. “It’s fine,” she sighed. “It’s my own fault. I have a large bottom.”

Rai snorted. “You’re so brazen about it.”

The blonde woman blushed. “Well,” she put a hand to her cheek, “lets just say it does more good for me than sometimes not being able to quite fit upon a tiny chair.”

Rai looked down at her own hips as she sat on the chair and sighed. “God, you and Hisao make me wonder if I should try gaining a few pounds.”

Lilly’s face was pink with a delighted blush as she smiled.

“Anyways, it doesn’t look like she’s here yet,” she told Lilly.

Her blush faded as Lilly sighed, puckering her lips in slight worry before grinning sadly. “She always was… fashionably late,” she chose her words carefully. “I think she just never wanted to be the first person anywhere.”

“Do you think she could be sitting in the parking lot?” Rai asked.

Lilly tapped her fingers together. “Perhaps, but she’d probably have recognized… me…” she trailed off, her hand slowly lowering onto the top of her tummy. “Oh, my… you don’t think…?”

Rai gave her a flat look, even knowing the girl wouldn’t see. “Lilly, you kinda stick out for more than your weight. Your long blonde hair would be a dead giveaway.”

Her grin was pulled tight as Lilly replied. “Perhaps, but even so… should I call her?”

Rai shrugged. “If you’d like to, but she could be driving. Let’s just wait a few minutes.” She raised her hand to a nearby waitress at the bar. The young girl hopped in place, noticing Rai’s arm and hurried her way over.

“You’re likely correct,” Lilly sighed. She patted herself, looking highly uncomfortable. “We’ll have to simply wait and see.”

Her face sharpened as she heard the waitress approach, puckering her lips and turning to acknowledge the short Japanese woman.

The waitress was a very young girl, with deep brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. She wore small streaks of green highlights in her bangs. Her lips worked in silence as she approached, obviously reciting something to herself before she stopped before them and bowed. “{Goo everning},” she spoke in poorly accented English.

Lilly frowned. Rai chuckled, noticing the English teacher’s obvious disapproval. “That’s okay,” the redhead told the girl in Japanese, “you don’t have to trouble.”

“Oh,” the waitress giggled, “good, I was very nervous. My manager said to speak in English to anyone I thought might be Irish.”

Rai was about to reply that they were both Japanese when Lilly cleared her throat. “That’s very nice of you to try and accommodate us,” the teacher commented with a grin.

“Thank you,” the girl bowed. “I welcome you and your daughter to our establishment and to our country.”

“Daughter?!” Rai exclaimed as Lilly’s face colored extremely red. “Hey, I’m not that young!”

The waitress stood up straight, clasping her arms in front of her. “Oh! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to imply, no no, I know you’re old enough!”

Lilly turned to Rai, putting a hand to her cheek. “I believe she’s calling me old,” she giggled.

“No- err, I’m sorry,” the girl clapped her hands. “Oh gosh, I’m really bad at this,” she whined. “Can I start over?”

Rai snorted in laughter, covering her mouth.

“Go ahead,” Lilly nodded.

The girl shook her head. “H-hi,” she stuttered, “I’m Yumiko. How can I help you two… young ladies?”

Lilly faced Rai. “How was that?”

“Better,” Rai acknowledged. She then asked the waitress, “Are you new?”

Yumiko nodded. “T-this is my first week. It’s my first job, I’m sorry.” She seemed to be shaking where she stood, cringing at herself.

Rai tapped the table, drawing her attention to it. “It’s alright, we’ve been there.” She reached around the table, poking Lilly’s belly. “Right Mom?”

Lilly puckered her lips in disapproval at Rai before turning to the waitress. “You’re doing fine,” she reassured.

Yumiko bowed again, sighing gratefully. “Thanks… um, how can I help you?”

Lilly turned towards Rai. “Well…” she cleared her throat, “my daughter and I would like some drinks, please. And do you perhaps have a braille menu?”

“B-braille?” the girl questioned. “Oh! Oh my go- I’m sorry! I didn’t even no-”

“It’s quite alright,” Lilly waved her hand. “But if you do, I’d like to check your appetizers. We’re still waiting for a friend.”

“Umm,” Yumiko grimaced, “I’m not sure, but I’ll check! I’ll get you your drinks too, but the special tonight is… Ummmm… Squid Tempura…?” she questioned herself.

Lilly waved her hand. “I think we’ll pass on that,” she commented.

“O-okay! I’ll be right back!” the girl said and, with another bow, retreated.

“She seems a bit uptight,” Rai said aside to Lilly.

Lilly laughed into her hand. “Actually, it’s a bit endearing,” she said.

“Really?” Rai lifted an eyebrow.

“Mhmm,” Lilly placed her hands in her lap. “Hanako was somewhat like that, though she couldn’t have held a job like this back then. She was a very timid young lady.”

“Oh.” Rai looked around the bar again, keeping an eye open for purple hair. Still no sight. “Well, did she… change?”

“Oh, yes.” The woman nodded, “She’s made quite the change in herself. For the better, as well. After high school, she received a position as a journalist. Has branched out to quite a few different areas and has written two books now.” Her smile was tight and didn’t meet her eyes. “She’s been very busy living life out in the world, which is why it’s been so long.”

“I see,” Rai said. She looked up as Yumiko returned with two large frosted mugs filled with golden amber.

“Here you are,” the young girl said, placing the mugs upon the table. “And we did have a braille menu,” she placed it in front of Lilly.

Lilly searched with her long pudgy fingers, finding her mug and scooping it closer with the handle. “Thank you, Yumiko,” she nodded to the waitress. “We should have an order in a couple of minutes.”

“Alright, thanks,” Yumiko bowed and left.

Lilly sighed. “She didn’t ask us what we wanted to drink, did she?”

“Nope,” Rai said.

“It’s beer, isn’t it?” Lilly asked.

“Yup.”

Her belly deflated and she placed a hand upon her cheek, shaking her head slowly. Then, she raised her glass towards Rai, who clinked hers to Lilly’s, and they both drank.

Almost instantly, Lilly lowered her mug, sticking out her tongue. “Yuck,” she muttered. “Why couldn’t the Irish be known for their wine?”

******************************************************************************

Lilly drank from her fourth mug of Irish beer as if she were about to die of dehydration. She leaned back heavily upon her stool, her chest and her belly pushing outward as gulp after gulp spilled down her throat. Her tummy was stretching her already tight top, swollen with beer along with their second plate of appetizers, though she showed no notice.

Rai, who was only on her second, checked her watch. It always amazed her how much Lilly could pack into her gut, even in such a short time as fifteen minutes. The inclination to speak up was getting to her though. “Still no sight of Hanako.”

Lilly snorted into her beer. Suds bubbled around her mouth, and she pulled away from it coughing.

“Woah,” Rai leaned forward, reaching around and patting her partner firmly on the back. “You alright?”

“M-me,” Lilly coughed, her mouth pulling up at the edges right into her drunken blush. “Me neither.”

Rai squinted at her. “Very funny,” she said deadpan.

“Thank you!” Lilly tilted her mug up, pulling the drink down. Her throat bobbed thrice as the alcohol poured into her body, joining the rest in her big sloshy belly.

She thudded her empty mug onto the table, joining two others that the waitress had yet to clear, and covered her mouth. The blonde’s body hiccupped as she tried to stifle a burp.

“Ugh,” she grunted, her thumb pressing into her tummy. “It tastes horrible.”

“So why drink it?” Rai questioned.

Lilly reached outward, taking another piece of broken of pretzel. She searched to the cup of cheese while she spoke, “If I’m going to be Irish tonight, I might as well try.” She found the cheese and dunked her nugget of bred into it wholly, coming up with gooey finger. “And,” she went on, “if I drink quickly, then I’ll stop tasting them and only feel the joy of alcohol.” She opened her mouth wide and dropped the cheesy bread into her mouth, sighing in bliss.

“Judging by your blush, I’d say it’s working on you…”

Lilly waved a delaying hand but was too busy enjoying her bite to deny.

Rai raised her own mug. It was half full, but she felt the need to prove to herself that she could do the same as her friend and upped it higher. The overpowering aroma of the alcohol filled her senses as it cascaded into her mouth and, though she hurriedly drank, her small mouth wasn’t yet fat enough for her to down the drink on its own. Two small trickles formed on either side of her lips, spilling dribbles onto the shamrock on dark green top.

Rai soldered on, noticing the waitress had returned and was gaping at her, spurred on by some need to impress her and Lilly. Finally, after six pulls, she tapered off, coughing into her mitt like she might keel over.

“That’s my daughter,” Lilly laughed, placing a hand onto and ruffling Rai’s hair. Then, speaking English in an engrossing accent, she went to Yumiko. “{Can we ge’ tree more o’ them pints, lassie}?”

Rai looked up to see Lilly holding up her fingers. Yumiko was staring at them like a deer in the headlights before nodding and hurrying away.

As she went, Lilly laugh rocked her whole jiggly belly, though she tried desperately to do so quietly.

“That was terrible,” Rai chuckled.

“I know,” Lilly sighed. “That was very Scottish. I can never get the accent right! It’s always Scottish or British…”

“{Ai think ai could give ya a hand with tha’},” came a nearby Irish voice.

Lilly instantly perked up, her belly poking out over the table. She turned to the speaker before Rai could, and her face lit up with her red cheeks. “Hanako!!” she called, trying to find her feet.

Hanako had swept up behind the pair, coming round the other side of Lilly before Rai could notice. When she did notice her, she was amazed she could have missed her.

While not as big as Lilly, Hanako was obviously her kindred soul. The girl was covered in soft pudgy layers, looking as comfortable as a warm lovely pillow. She wore her dark purple hair exceptionally long, past even her hips, tousled and flowing with some lovely deep curls in her bands that framed either side of her pleasant face. She even wore a deep green bow in her hair, practically cut from the same ribbon as Lilly’s, though she was far more dressed for the occasion.

It was in noticing her dress that Rai was drawn to her scars. Deep dark marks drew across the right side of her skin, obvious on her face and upon her right shoulder. The dress she wore had deep green straps with a white under cloak that rest across her supple chest. While more reserved and showing no cleavage, the scars were still evidently marked onto her breast by the pale skin above their holder.

Quite curvaceous and pleasantly plump, Hanako was grinning from ear to ear as she embraced her old friend. The girls held one another, squeezing their chubby waists in firm hugs. Very quietly, Rai could hear Lilly whisper. “My, how I’ve missed you.”

Hanako’s deep purple eyes opened, her gaze down into Lilly’s shoulder. “I missed you too, Lilly…” her voice trailed off, the meaning there even if left unsaid.

They stood for a just a moment too long, where Rai felt herself awkwardly shuffle on her stool before breaking apart and grinning into one another. Without asking, Lilly put a hand to Hanako’s cheek. The purple haired woman nuzzled it affectionately.

“I see you’re doing well,” Lilly remarked.

“You’re already drunk,” Hanako giggled. “You don’t see much.”

“I can feel this,” she reached down, clasping her fingers around Hanako’s tummy.

The other girl gasped. “You’re one to talk,” she squeezed Lilly’s gut with both of her hands.

Lilly groaned, releasing Hanako and covering her mouth. “Oof, no no, don’t do that. I’m full of alcohol.”

Hanako’s grin refreshed and she raised her hand. With the back of it, she stroked Lilly’s cheek and into her hair. “It’s so good to be with you again.”

Lilly nodded. Then, her eyes clamped shut. “Oh!” she raised her hand, back handing her empty mug and gesturing towards Rai. “This is Rai! She’s my coworker.”

Rai smiled, feeling like a child. “H-hi,” she bowed and stuck out her hand.

Hanako left it hang there, coming around to Rai and offering a hug. “Lilly’s told me about you,” she said as Rai rose to meet her. “She said you’ve been one of her best friends.”

Rai blushed. “S-she flatters me.”

“I do not,” Lilly chuckled. She sat down heavily upon her seat, and a slight whine drew Hanako and Rai’s attention. Lilly too was looking quite sharp, both of her hands on either side of her seat, gripping beneath her overflowing hips.

After a moment passed, Hanako sighed. “Oh, goodness,” she laughed into her hand, “I had thought you were about to fall.”

Lilly breathed easily, placing a hand on her tummy. “Me too,” she admitted.

The girl, Yumiko, returned with the three mugs. “Here you are, miss.”

“Oh good!” Lilly called out, turning to face her. “My sister just came in, she’ll need to get a mug of her own.”

“S-sister?” Yumiko asked. She looked up to Hanako.

Without missing a beat, Hanako raised an arm and waved with her fingers. “Hello,” she greeted.

“Oh,” Yumiko said. She looked from the two of them. “I’d have thought she looked more like your daughter,” she admitted.

Rai cringed while Hanako laughed loudly to herself.

“H-how old do I look to you?” Lilly asked.

“E-err, umm,” Yumiko looked caught off guard. “S-sister, okay! I’ll be back!”

She hurried off and Lilly snatched her two mugs. “Daughter… unbelievable!” she lamented.

“Well, not anymore,” Hanako said, tapping Lilly on the shoulder.

Lilly drank deeply from the mug, taking the other in her free hand and holding it out. She turned towards the other girls, lifting from her lips and swallowing. “I’ll have you two know,” she began.

A sharp *CHINK* overwhelmed all the noise in the bar, and Lilly’s fat ass began to topple forward. Rai reacted, and Hanako alongside her, moving down towards Lilly’s hips while the blonde could only open her eyes wide in surprise.

Rai caught her arms around Lilly’s thigh and Hanako had her waist, though for some reason the weight seemed to only double and then, before she knew it, Rai was brought down as Hanako stumbled sideways and the trio of girls dropped onto the ground, with Rai at the bottom of the fatty pile, her green shirt wet with splashes of bear.

Hanako and Lilly were laughing madly to themselves while, beneath both heavyset girls, Rai could hardly get the air in her to breath. Lilly’s thigh jiggled, kicking uselessly in the air. Her shirt had come up over her well-rounded tummy. Hanako fell off toward the side, but still smothered by three hundred pounds, Rai could hardly move until Lilly’s heavy rear was pulled off her middle.

“Owwww,” Rai whined pitifully.

“What happened,” Lilly said, still drunkenly giggling. “Is she alright?”

“You broke your stool!” Hanako proclaimed. “Then ya sat on the little girl.”

Lilly responded by giggling even harder. Her own top had been thoroughly soaked, clutching her large breasts while her fat tummy hopped with each chuckling breath.

“Nyaaahhh, I’m not littllleeee,” Rai groaned from her spot on the floor.

Lilly reached out a hand, nearly stepping on Rai’s shin as she leaned forward to help. “Come on, daughter. Did I break anything?”

Rai took her hand, allowing her to lean backward and hoist her back up using her weight. “The stool,” Hanako giggled.

The drunken fatty tried to fix her top. A deep splash from her mug went all down her tummy, causing the shirt to stick to her skin.

“Oh my gosh,” Yumiko hurried up to the trio, “are you all alright?”

Rai clutched her side. “Yeah, just flattened.”

Lilly frowned, though she was still evidently suppressing her giggles.

Hanako tapped the young waitress on the shoulder, drawing her attention. Pointing at Lilly, she proclaimed. “I’ll have what she’s having. And make it a double.”
